Residence Inn Portland Downtown/Waterfront

Housekeeping was cut back to every other day, including towels and bed makeup, which was inconvenient. Desk staff and location great. Room was somewhat strangely laid out but plenty roomy for a longer stay. Nice view to the harbor. Breakfast handy but limited help-yourself selection. Parking next door with free in and out very useful in parking constrained area.

The two bedroom suite was perfect for our family of six. The garage was steps away from the entrance and breakfast was convenient in the mornings. We were able to walk to all the sights that we wanted to see in Portland

From the shuttle ride from the airport to checking in, the room was spacious and clean. Staff was friendly and professional. Breakfast was good. The hotel was great and we appreciate the great service.

The staff was terrific. Unfortunately, the room smelled like cigarette/pot smoke. We booked a two bedroom suite and one bedroom was fine while the other reeked of smoke smell. We checked in late in the evening so I just dealt with it the first night, but first thing in the morning, I talked to the front desk about it. They sent up an ozone machine for the day while we were out and that seemed to work ok for the room, but the bathroom still smelled horribly! So, if you are sensitive to smoke smell, don't stay here.

The breakfast items to choose from was plentiful. The staff member Troy who was responsible for overseeing this area was on top of everything. As a person in the food industry he did everything right including speaking with the guests to make sure they were happy.

All around good experience. Will definitely stay there if I go back to that area

Checking in and out was probably the most pleasant experience I have ever had at a hotel. Everyone was so pleasant, friendly, upbeat and helpful! The room was lovely, had everything I needed. Breakfast offered plenty of choices and was very good. I will be back!

It's a nice place, but parking was ridiculous, $30 a night makes no sense for Portland! Its across the street and very dimly lit. I did not feel safe with all the homeless people wandering around. The room was small, but clean. Going down to the pool at night with kids, you have to go by the bar and all the men stare, it was uncomfortable, not to mention very loud!

The staff was super, attentive, friendly and quick with answers and solutions. Great experience there. The hotel is wonderfully located, walkable to so much and easy to drive in and out of. The room itself needs some attention. A bit worn, not horrible…but could be so much better. The pictures online of the two queen bed room were misleading, as they showed a couch (which was an important feature for me to have friends over). The staff moved me to a king room…which has a couch. They said the only rooms with couches were the king rooms. The kitchen could have been a little better stocked…wine/bottle opener, a pair of scissors. Nothing that made the stay less than stellar…all was provided at the front desk. The parking…ehhhhhh. It is not attached to the hotel, but across the street. It’s a public garage with no dedicated hotel spaces. In inclement weather, it probably would not have been fun to dash back and forth with groceries and such. Also, garages, late at night or super early in the morning always feel a little sketchy. I had no problems but it was a little unnerving when I left at 4 am. All and all, a great place to stay, a base camp for adventure and exploring. I’d stay there again.

Excellent place. Breakfast very good. I would stay here again in an instant. Only downside is the cost of parking

Only problem was I didn’t realize we had to pay $30 per night for parking
