Most comfortable beds in a long time. Right next door to the Family History Center (if that's what you're here for). No breakfast buffet, but an area where you can purchase breakfast items (e.g. bagels, burritos, yoghurt, cereal, boiled eggs) all for a reasonable price, plus get the pleasure of talking to the nice and friendly lady (we forget her name) originally from Washington DC. Overall a nice place to stay.

This hotel needs a lot of reno or refurb. The staff are pleasant & professional. That's the good part. Now the mediocre to bad stuff. The elevators are creaky, the carpet is old, dingy, and not pleasant. The bathroom is not great. When your neighbor takes a shower, it sounds like a train is running through your room. The parking garage only offers hotel access on the ground floor, so unload you luggage before parking.The light rail is steps away from the hotel, so get used to near constant train noise & announcements. If you have a city view, bring a clip for the blackout curtains. The curtains don't close and there is so much bright light after sunset from the city lights.

The service is unparalleled. Which is what keeps me coming back! However, for the price point, the physical amenities of the building are disappointing. Duct tape holding the carpet together, dysfunctioning elevators, and torn curtains.

This was a great hotel to stay during our trip to see antiques roadshow. It is in the perfect location right next to the temple and across from the train. Staff is very nice. Rooms are comfortable. Could definitely use some updating. The room had a big window with a view of downtown but the windows were very very dirty. It was a bit dusty too. The hotel is priced right. I would stay again.

Very clean older hotel. Our king room was a little small - hard to have 2 large open suitcases. Bathroom needs a new tub - it was majorly chipped in a few spots and the caulking was half missing or discolored. My shower went to all cold water 1/2 way through! I shut it off for a few minutes then when I turned it on to rinse off it was warm then back to the temp I had it at! My husband had no problem when he took his shower. Not sure what that was all about.

The bathtub and the sink were backed up on the first night. I have to go to the 7th floor to shower. they were supposed to fix it first thing in the morning. When I inquired about it at the front desk, the receptionist did not have a clue and said she would talk to the manager about the compensation. We went out to visit Salt Lake City without washing and fixed up our hair. I left for the airport the next day at 6:30 am and inquired about the compensation, the receptionist said nothing on file.
