Sheraton Memphis Downtown Hotel

Excellent

We had a conference and it was at the Reagan’s Convention Center, which was connected to it by a bridge. There was a lovely restaurant. Our room was sizable and the rollaway that I used was unbelievably comfortable. Everyone was kind and friendly.

I had to kept asking for them to clean my room which wasn’t done and bring me soap for 2 days

The phone didn’t work to call out or I couldn’t figure it out. Also I noticed the toliet was filthy but other than that it was a nice stay. I would recommend and inside pool for the price though!

Popcorn ceiling was falling off over bed. Room was cleaned but they missed a bunch of crumpled up papers and receipts from prior guest. Parking option was to valet for an additional charge only.

Our greeting was poor. The gentleman seemed almost put out that we booked through a 3rd party, or that he had to check us in at all. The tv doesn’t allow us to hook up the Roku AND it is not a smart tv so we could only watch basic tv. Even cheap hotels allow you to log in to your Netflix. The people never showed up for cleaning or to replenish anything like coffee. They only provide powder creamer which is disgusting. Offfer creamers please. I have no idea why we paid double our usual hotel price. There is no value other than being attached to the venue for the event. I will choose a different hotel next time.

Property is run down, and rooms need updating. Paint, carpet, lots of wear & tear. Location is great, and connection to the convention center is a benefit! Hence, property appears heavily used. Stayed there last year, and there is a visible difference.

Toilet had episodic water cycling. Noisy throughout night. Another intermittent bongo sound thru night.

Shows a restaurant and everything in there is closed. It’s just a big empty hotel

No smart tv and WiFi wasn’t working

The Sheraton is always the place to stay while in Memphis or any other city

Hotel has limited parking and rooms are outdated. Price is inflated for the amenities offered. Great location

I was going to Memphis to run the a children’s charity half marathon, which my friends and I raised money for. I was feeling sick so I attempted to shorten my stay by one day. Hotels.com said they couldn't do this so they'd contact the hotel. I never heard back from the hotel. This was within the time they said was Iallowed to modify my trip. We then all had covid and had to cancel the race and trip. I reached out to the hotel on their chat and explained. I never heard back from them. I then contacted them through the loyalty program I'm a member of. They asked for documentation so I sent my positive covid test picture, the race registration and the hotel registration. They simply said there was nothing they could do because it was booked through hotels.com. So no one would take covid or running for a charity into consideration; both hotels.com and the Sheraton put onus on the other and instead charged me for the whole time. I'm not sure I'd ever use hotels.com again because it doesn't seem to offer any advantage (even though they say you can modify your trip) and was really disappointed by the lack of response from Sheraton and then the lack of empathy from them (as a lifelong customer.) If either had offered up anything, I was ready to offer up a good review and commend them through reviews and social media outlets. This was not the case.

This property is perfect for stays overnight for events downtown. There is a bridge that connects to the Convention Center and the Cannon Performance Center without having to go outdoors. It is also within walking distance to many restaurants.

It was decent for a one night stay, hotel could use some updates. They only offer valet parking for $32 a night.
