Probably my last visit to Showboat. First, their multi-level parking garage 'went digital'. Now, their outside lot 'went digital'. I will NEVER own a 'smart'phone! The only way to park there now is to use the valet service. And they won't take your car until you've checked in, let alone try to find a valet worker when needed. That, plus they now charge you an extra $3 to play games at the arcade. My vacation days are like GOLD to me. I would go to A.C. early in the morning and go for a bike ride on the boardwalk. After lunch, would park at The Showboat outside lot (WAS VERY convenient!), maybe get a drink and probably play some games at the arcade and check in a little later. Like my title says "It was fun while it lasted!"

Property is quite old and is trying to make a comeback. Much of the interior is in fair condition as were the rooms. Basic things like the hair dryer was broken etc. However, the rooms were priced appropriately for the conditions at the location.

The room itself was clean and comfortable. Beside the room, thats about all you get. Main areas are filthy, carpets stained, escalators all broken, elevators sticky if they even worked, most the arcade games are broken down in some way. Our hallway stunk of nasty dirty diapers. The same trash was left outside of the rooms the entire time. No valet ssrvice. No bell cart. We had to make 4 trips into our room to get all settled in. When we asked why we couldn't have a bell cart they said because valet locks them up. It was only 630 pm, and there was no valet the entire stay anyhow. Self park is very easy, but be prepared for the 25$ a night fee. None of the restaurants were open, and whatever market/buffet they advertise on floor 2 is also a farce. Its all abandoned and empty. Advertised as dog friendly, but you have to walk your pet through most of the property to a teeny tiny patch of grass to let them out. If youre looking for a cheap moderately clean place to rest your head at night, this is the place for you. But keep in mind there are NO AMMENITIES OR EXTRAS whatsoever. You are to fend for yourself. And also note that this is no longer a casino. It has been turmed into a giant arcade. And yes, unsupervised children are running amock everywhere. Front desk and arcade bartenders were amazing. They're about the only thing keeping this place afloat, as well as the arcade if they actually attend to the broken games. Good luck.

It was great . The room was comfy and sweet but some of the sockets weren’t working. The bathroom was clean but the only thing soon as I got in the shower I slipped and I’m 7 months pregnant. Overall I love it and will return again

The property was very old. The room has stains on all the furniture throughout the carpet. The doors look like somebody kicked it in a couple of times and he tried to repair it. The elevators was always full had to take the steps or the escalator from the 16th floor Housekeeping was horrible. They don’t get in until 9:30 in the morning and they made you come down to get towels and washcloth from the front desk. This property should be closed down.

Nothing to like about this facility. We came in to Atlantic City for the Kelly Clarkson Concert and checked in at 4:00p. Went to the room and found it was very out dated, dingy and overall nasty. This place looks NOTHING LIKE THE PHOTOS. Those had to be taken a long time ago. Anyway, the carpet was wet in spots. I didnt know that until
I stepped on the tile and just about slipped and went “flying”. The smell in the room was awful, just very unclean. Dingy looking bedding. Broken entertainment center and it was hot and muggy in there. Every inch of that place all you smelled was marajuana. We were only in the room for 30 minutes or so to drop off bag and freshen up before heading out to go eat and the concert. We turned down the A/C in hopes it would cool off after the concert. We get back to room and it is still hot in there, the smell still there and it was midnight. We checked out in the middle of the night and luckily found one room left at the holiday inn 5 miles away that was FANTASTIC!! If you don’t care what, where and how you sleep after paying $$$ then this place is for you! I have never in my life been in the most horrible accommodations.

The Showboat hotel is in need of a serious renovation immediately. Moldy tub & shower with a severely stained shower curtain. The water would not go down the drain during and after a shower. I’m not going to even get started on the shower pressure and shower head….just awful!!! The toilet scared the living crap out of me when I flushed….I thought the toilet went through the floor, it was a very loud sound. The chairs in the room were dirty and stained too. The lamps and decor are from the 80’s. I’m so irked, hard earned money wasted on a motel with resort pricing.
I called the front desk, housekeeping, and room service for towels. Housekeeping kept going straight to a busy signal, the others just let the phone ring. Therefore, we were unable to get towels and wash cloths, SMH. The towels given were stained and not of good quality with a sour smell.
I can’t understand how they built a water park with other nice amenities and just forgot about the rooms that customers are overcharged for, I honestly don’t get it at all!
Additionally, the parking spaces are way too small. I’m parked within the lines and had to get out carefully so that I don’t cause any damage(s) to the car next to mines (they were parked within the lines too). I have a small vehicle. I noticed many cars just took up two parking spaces for this reason. Showboat could definitely do better!
