Sleep Inn & Suites Jacksonville near Camp Lejeune

We got there 5 minutes before check in. The front desk said they were waiting on our type of room and told us to sit in the waiting room. I asked about the roll out bed that I specifically picked this location for and they said it was a “fire hazard” to put a roll out bed in even though it said nothing of that in the description that I read. An hour later after asking they said our room is ready. We get in and the room smelled of smoke in a non smoking room. Someone came in and sprayed something after the complaint but it didn’t help one bit. When we woke up there was a roach on the ceiling. I’m not the type to complain but a decent amount of money was spent to make this happen.

This place is a hidden gem!!!!! Pleasantly surprised, and the breakfast was amazing!!!! Small things throughout this hotel that shows its well managed!!!!!

Upon arriving, we found a spoiled milkshake and food containers behind the headboard of the second bed. I felt the room had an off odor all week. The night desk Associate took care of the garbage when notified. Everything else about the property was fine.

This property was conveniently located off Highway 70. With lots of dining choices and shopping nearby. The best thing was a clean quiet room with immaculate facilities. The food and entire staff including check in housekeeping hosts and maintenance personnel were king and expressed gratitude for choosing their hotel.

Sleep inn is a great option for this area! It is very reasonably priced with great staff and a delicious breakfast and pool! The pool was in excellent shape, the breakfast had many great options, and the staff were extremely friendly. We slept great in our room too, the place is living up to its name!

The toilet seat was loose and had to be tightened. There was no hot water in the shower. They sent a maintenance man the next day. He said the shower valve was installed backwards. You had to put the lever near the OFF position to get hot water. A plastic sign would have been helpful! There were no hooks on the door or walls to hang up your robe or night clothing. There was NO counter top, in the bathroom, to place anything. You had to use the top of the toilet or the plastic stool. Neither gave you enough room. The toilet is slanted and my wife had to buy a new curling iron because hers fell off the toilet top and broke the plastic top on the iron. There were only 2 facecloths. My wife always uses 2 face clothes every night. We turned on the TV but there was no channel lineup nor a paper guide showing the channels. We went to the pool. We were told there were towels at the pool but there were no towels in the towel box! The door to the room will not lock on its own. This door had to be pulled twice to get it to lock. Does anyone keep up with the hotel?

Polite, easy check in, clean room

When we first arrived to the hotel, the staff was very welcoming and checked us in without issues. When we first go into the room there was a strong smell of mold and I believe that it was coming from the air conditioning unit because it was leaking water. Also when we arrived to the room there was a big roach in the corner by the air conditioning unit and a dead bug on the wall. The staff was understanding when we addressed the issue with them but that inital night made us very uncomfortable for the rest of our stay. We also asked for a different room and there weren't any other rooms availble so we decided to stay in the room given that we already paid to be there. We did not have a good experience and we will not be coming back to this hotel in the future.
