I stayed at the property over Labour Day weekend. At 12:45 am there was water leaking from the light/fan in our bathroom. We had to rush to pack up all of our stuff, and move to a different part of the hotel in our pyjamas.
The night audit was extremely helpfully and dealt with issue quickly.
The next morning when checking out the manager was not there. I explained the issue to the front desk who told me she would contact the manager for the refund. The refund was approved and I was told I would need to contact Expedia for the refund. Expedia said the hotel charged me and would have to issue the refund. I made 2 calls to speak with the manager, both calls went to a voicemail box they was full. I left messages with the front desk. After not hearing back after 24hrs I called again, was transferred to the manager and again went to a voicemail box that was full.
Completely unacceptable that the manager did not seem to care about the situation and made no effort to contact me.
In addition to this, the first room we were in was not clean. The air vents were dusty, there was confetti on the floor, and when setting up the pull out couch there was a dirty sheet scrunched up in the corner and a large black bug of some sort.
The dishwasher had not been emptied after the previous guest. There was food in the cupboards from a previous guest. In short, aside from the bed having been made and the fresh towels this room had not been cleaned.
The bolt on the door was loose, safety issue
