I had a fantastic stay at the Sonesta Philadelphia Rittenhouse Square! The location is perfect—within walking distance to great restaurants, shops, and cultural sites. The rooms were modern, clean, and very comfortable, with all the amenities I needed. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, making the experience even better. I also loved the rooftop pool. I’ll definitely stay here again next time I’m in Philadelphia.

The valet service was not efficient. At arrival and when we checked out. The card system does not work. There should just be a face to face transaction with the ticket so you get your car in order of physically being present at the car garage.

This was the worst hotel stay in my life! When me and my family arrived to check in the hotel, the room we was given was occupied by a homeless person taking a shower! The security guard told me and my wife that they had been looking for this person for two days and they had been going floor to floor occupying rooms, because they had found a lost master key. After we reported this to the front desk manager, he stated that the person only took a shower and didn’t mess up the room, so they was going to clean the shower and then we can stay in that same room! I refused and had to stay in a room with one bed instead of 2 like I originally paid for and reserved for a week in advance! The next morning I woke up in good spirits in hope that they would fix this problem and accommodate me and my family. They put us in another room the next morning ONLY to check in that room and it still not in good condition. Once we got settled. I be the room my 8yr old son went to use the bathroom and I hear him scream Ouch!!! I run to the bathroom and find that the ceiling fell down on him because of a leak in the room above the new room they gave us! Don’t stay here!!!!

The staff at this hotel was incredibly friendly and helpful! The employees at the Art Bar, bell services, valet, front desk and especially one maintenance staff member in particular; Karl. I had a problem with the deadbolt in my door, and Karl was so helpful in the entire process of eventually moving me to another room. If Karl, or his supervisor reads this, I hope you know how grateful I am for your effort and swift resolution to my trouble!

Housekeeping leaves much to be desired. Over a four night stay our room was refreshed once even though we requested service daily. On a good note, the property is in a great location for walking to attractions throughout Rittenhouse and Center City. Hotel staff was very friendly. Overall, we had a pleasant stay and would book here again.

It was okay. The housekeeper came barging into my room in the morning even though I had the “do not disturb” sign on the door. The pool closes at 8pm which is a bit early in my opinion. The rooms are starting to show their age. The corner room had a nice view, but I believe they’re smaller than the other rooms.

During our four-night stay, we encountered several issues. There was no room service available at all. We called to request room cleaning, new towels, and coffee, but no one ever came. When we followed up, we were told, "Sometimes we can't clean the rooms when we're too busy." Additionally, the bar ran out of many standard beverages, leaving us with limited options. Some staff members expressed their frustration about being short-staffed and missing shipments necessary to keep the bar stocked. It was a chaotic experience. I don't understand how a hotel of this size could be so unprepared. It was bizarre. I would not choose to stay here again.

Upon entering the room we found that their were wholes in the bathroom wall that had spiders coming out, upon expressing to the staff they had someone come up and put clear tape over the wholes and sprayed it with bleach. Our room also smelled of mold/mildew. The only option for parking was valet, extremely inconvenient. We had to wait about 45 mins each time to retrieve our vehicle.

Good customer service and friendly staff. Housekeeping is lacking. Over a 4 night stay our room was refreshed once and we had to ask for clean towels daily. We requested room refreshing several times. Bathroom was very small. Overall, a pleasant stay but a bit disappointed with some services.

We've stayed in hundreds of hotels in 55 years of travel but have never before had to pay a fee ($50) for getting access to our room before the official check in time, even though the room was ready when we arrived. Also, no one cleaned or serviced our room during our 3-day stay. And our daughter, who stayed in a 2-room suite with her children had one room cleaned and the other left untouched. On the other hand, the location was excellent and the outdoor pool was a welcome amenity.
