Super 8 by Wyndham Alamosa

Last night, I had a horrible experience. I was attempting to be frugal with my accommodations for tonight and reserved a room at the Super Eight Motel, which proved to be a regrettable decision. As a former housekeeper for a Holiday Inn Express, I can confidently assert that the room was not adequately cleaned. Upon entering the room, I pulled back the covers and moved the pillows to inspect the sheets, a standard procedure to verify if they have been changed. Unfortunately, the sheets appeared wrinkled, indicating that they had not been replaced. Furthermore, the presence of hair on the sheets was a clear indication that they were still dirty. Upon inspecting the bathroom, I was appalled to discover pee stains on the floor and the toilet bowl. After cleaning the floor myself, I took a photograph to document the deplorable conditions. I brought this to the attention of the management and was subsequently relocated to another room, which, regrettably, was in a similar state of disarray. I promptly reported this to the front desk and demanded a refund, emphasizing that I was unwilling to occupy a room that was not properly cleaned. I also expressed my frustration, having driven for nearly 12 hours and merely seeking a clean and comfortable place to rest. I acknowledged to myself that this experience was a consequence of attempting to be overly frugal.

The bathroom was disgusting. Toilet stained; shower head barely worked.

Place is very clean for what it is. Definitely an older building but was definitely adequate for the price. Bed was excellent.

Did get to stay they had to get a different hotels because we where locals

Heater unit in room was off and window was open (12/28/24),it was very cold and took several hours to warm the room. Mold/dirt/ripped drywal/ urine stains on wall in bath. Rest of the room was fairly clean. 1/2 size pillows Hotels.com would not allow photos to be uploaded....

Hotel is showing its age. The heater in our room barely put out any heat. The bathtub was pretty gross and the sink sprayed a hard fine spray and never got warm. The tiled room was cold and hospital like. We just stayed 1 night on our way through, but will probably splurge a little more the next time.

We stayed in a three bed room. Had a refrigerator and microwave was really spacious. Enough room for my hisband and griwn kids. Luved how close we were to shopping and dining.

It was ok but it was old and needed updating. The restroom was not appealing and the toilet was too low to the ground. It was hard to regulate the temperature in the room.

Room size was nice, beds were comfortable, pet friendly, staff was great manager was awsome. over all a 5 star.

Rooms were pathetic and not clean. Batheoom was horrible. Hot breakfast was very cold. Terrible experience.

This was the perfect overnight stay for us as we traveled. Very quiet and very clean!!

Heater turned off Room was too cold

Room and property were not clean. Day 1 there was no Breakfast because no one put it out. Day 2 milk was sour, waffle mix was bad, coffee out.. day 3. No hot water.. I don’t think a vacuum has touched the room all week ….i could go on but you get the point.

Living space has been modernized, no carpet anymore. Very nice. Comfortable beds. Bathroom, although clean, needs updating. Tub is stained and baseboard near tub has watrer damage due to poor initial design.

The bed frame was new but made of thin metal. Anytime I rolled over in bed it sounded as if a cookie sheet was popping. The shower handle would. It stay up for a warm shower, rather would keep spinning down to cold water. The shower curtain leaked water through the middle of the curtain so my clothes on the floor became wet. Breakfast was for by 7:50 so we were unable to eat.

Employees very friendly. Our air conditioner was very noisy and it was very hard to sleep.

Check in was quick and easy. Room was clean and comfortable except the refrigerator wasn't working. We didn't discover this before we unpacked and didn't want to move so we just added some ice from our cooler. The a/c quit working around 9 and we still didn't want to move so we just went to bed. Breakfast was hot, coffee was caffeinated and the plasticware worked great!

Room was clean. Desk clerk friendly and helpful. Lots of outside noise. Breakfast was good.

The only positive thing about this stay was the overnight desk clerk. Sheets had crumbs and dirt from previous guests. When morning staff offered housekeeping we asked for our sheets to be changed. We were told that they would have to get with management. We were out most of the day and when we returned around 7 the sheets were the same dirty sheets. So we decided to check out early and drive through the night to get to sleep in clean sheet in the comfort of our home. Definitely would never stay there again.
