Super 8 by Wyndham Powell

Even though Powell, WY doesnt have many hotels to choose from and is a very small town doesn't mean they have to be disgusting. The room smelled really bad, the carpet looked very dirty, the shower curtain was filthy, the faucet didnt work to make the shower head work, the walls in the bathroom were vere dirty, yellow goo dripping down them, the door looked like someone wiped a booger on the back of it, the hair dryer was dusty, the bathroom towels were stained - uggh (All gross) The only good thing about it was that the bed was comfortable and the sheets looked and smelled clean. If Wyndham saw this Hotel they are claiming to be a part of I'm sure they would be embarrassed. Expedia should reconsider even suggesting putting this Hotel on their website. I told the Manager behind the desk before I left about this and he just said - "Huh". Like he could care less. I'm surprised we got out of there alive. So no, I would not recommend staying there. I'D sleep in my car before I stayed there again.

Room was unkept. The bedding was dirty.

Booked a suite looking for a comfortable night during a road trip. The room had a heavy smell of propane that made us both sick. When we alerted the front desk, they said "What do you want me to do about it?" We asked for an alternate room but they were full. There were multiple spiders in the shower. The bed was lumpy and uncomfortable. Would Not recommend.

Breakfast was late with few options beyond waffles and cereal.

Staff was very friendly, easy to find, just a few steps to Pizza hut, and 2 convenience stores.

The room was dirty. Multiple things were broken and just unsafe. It smelled bad. Had it not been such a busy weekend locally we would have cancelled and stayed somewhere else. We were also double charged for our pet fee and still have yet to be refunded. Normally find great places on hotels.com this is the first time I was not happy. Ended up having my kids sleep on top of the bedding and they were unable to shower due to the tub not draining well. The property does not seem to be well maintained at all. Even the maps in the room still list a pool that is no longer in use and filled with old materials and used as storage.

This was a nice property and clean. Their breakfast was a bit sparse on that there really weren’t many choices. Other than that, I had a nice comfortable stay.

My room was clean I had everything I needed. My door I could see through the frame around it I didn’t feel very safe. I’m a single white female thank god I had my dog with me. The outside is full of over grown weeds and trash. No upkeep and I know they can’t help but the clientele was shady it seemed like transients lived on property. Doors banging and the people above me super loud my dog would bark. I would never stay at a super 8 again. Sunday night I stayed at a Marriot residence inn and finally felt safe and slept

Decor was great

The property seemed busy at night busy and it was difficult to find parking. The parking lot is shared with a Pizza Hut and some sort of construction company? Check-in went alright. The associate seemed rather apathetic. The same gentleman was there at breakfast the next morning and seemed inconvenienced when I asked for more waffle mix and coffee for the continental breakfast. Apparently the pool the facility used to offer is now used as a dumping facility for dirty mattresses and other defunct things from the rooms. The sink in the bathroom has hair in it. The shower knob turned all the way around so it was anyone’s guess as to what the temp of the water would be. The room above us must have a leak in the tub that leaks into our room. The air freshener in the room was so overbearing that my husband both woke sick the next morning. Overall-this was exactly the level of mediocrity I expected for a hotel in Powell.

Under new management Knew nothing about town or where to find anything

I am a very frequent traveler and this was the second to worst hotel room I have ever stayed in in my life. The room itself smelled like urine, the bathroom like body odor. I put hangers in my window sill because the lock was broke and it would glide open in the wind. The carpets looked like a murder scene, fortunately I had enough blankets in my car to make a nest so I didn’t have to touch anything. I would have stayed in my vehicle instead of the room but there were too many “guests” outside smoking marijuana. I am going to need a few rounds of anti biotics after my stay. Horrific.

Not what we expect from Super 8. Bathroom door hanging from one hinge, lukewarm shower at its warmest, low quality bed linens and blankets, nonworking lamp, stained and dingy bathroom counter. Very disappointing experience for our money, and we are not picky people.
