Only problem is their Direct TV Channel guide doesn’t work. Can’t find any local channels ESPN Etc without scrolling using channel button. Never did find local channels or FoxNews!

The hotel is an excellently maintained Landmark hotel at a very reasonable price. Although we were only there one night, it was a GREAT experience.

Stayed in room 224, the room smelled quite smokey from the fireplace below. It wasn’t ideal for my daughter’s asthma, but otherwise a beautiful stay.

We were issued a room on the 4th floor, the entirety of which smelled overpoweringly like wood smoke. The room smelled like smoke. It made our eyes water. I cannot imagine why the smoke detectors didn't go off. I have never in my life experienced a thing like it. The shower also had no hot water. All things considered, it was a really bad time. I was looking forward to staying at the Thayer. Never again.

Wonderful, as always. The staff is super friendly and helpful. For a great meal, go to MacArthur’s Restaurant. Really good food, really good drinks, really good service!

A historic hotel with excellent service, rooms were clean and spacious. Location was excellent, right in Westpoint. The heater was a bit funky, kicking on and off. The breakfast buffet was ok, and could definitely improve. But overall great, will definitely stay there again.

The Thayer Hotel is a lovely example of a classic hotel, with a comfortable lobby with fire in the daytime, and great meals in a scenic dining room overlooking the Hudson. We did notice the outdoor grounds need some sprucing up, but that did not affect our enjoyment. However, I do think more quality landscaping could be done with the areas that have views around the hotel. I did get a pass to walk on the scenic drive on campus, overlooking the Hudson, and that is highly recommended.

A bit stuffy. Bar service was average, and I spent $350 for my group. Happy Hour was on and I was not advised.
Breakfast is limited to a buffet or nothing. Coffee and toast is pretty standard options today. not everyone wants a big breakfast.

Beautiful hotel on the West Point Campus. If you book through Orbitz, you will likely be given a lesser room (either a handicap room or one next to the elevators) so be aware of this.

Beautiful Location and view. Rooms very nice Only issue, they need to update listing of restaurants and hours. Zulu only on Weekends. No glassware of any kind in room, needed to go to bar get a glass to brush my teeth. Patton's Pub, lacked ambience, was like a sports bar. (bar looked nice, but tables next to fireplace, just tables and bright lights. Macarthur Dining room was nice, though when you walk in, it looks like a banquet room, but towards the back very nice. Anyone with business at West Point should consider no other hotel than the Thayer. Its location at the entrance to the base could not be more convenient. The hotel itself is very handsome: old and solid with history abounding in every nook and cranny. Our top floor room had a magnificent view over the Hudson, with beautiful sunrises and sunsets. We ate all our meals in the restaurant, pub, and Zulu Time rooftop bar. There are not a lot of options for dining in the immediate area, but even so, we were happy to stay in and enjoy good food and gracious service. Everyone was as friendly and pleasant as could be. I'm looking forward to business bringing us here again so I can enjoy the Thayer's hospitality again!
