I love this place normally. I have been having to travel for work and once a month me and my wife meet there for a getaway together. 1st 2 times were great but this last was terrible. Since my wife and I only see each other for a weekend once a month due to work travel.
The construction going on all day Saturday which seemed to be directly above our heads was so horrible and started so early.
We knew about the weekday construction and the memo in the room confirmed it. But it was NOT for Saturday. only Monday thru Friday.
Anyway, it was not great. So now we looking around and maybe try another place in the same area because the location is amazing.

the service at charleston place stands alone and is superb.
we were a little disappointed that the pool was closed for renovations and nobody told us ahead of time. would have been nice to know, the real reason we pick charleston place in the winter is for the pool (kids). otherwise, it was a great stay as usual.

The hotel is beautiful, and we will definitely return. We will come back at a quieter time of year. Unfortunately, we went at Christmas, and it was very crowded with people and dogs. We loved seeing the dogs and appreciate that this is a very dog-friendly hotel. The staff is very friendly and professional.
