Great location for walking from to explore NY, near subway and with a diner and trattoria attached plus a 24 hour Maccy D opposite and right near MSG if you have anything booked.

This is a historic hotel built in the early 1900's so a few indications of an aging building are expected. Inspite of that, the updates and environment overall are bery nice. The staff was very nice.
The tub in our room had been recoated with something, not sure what but it kept flaking off in white strips after it was wet. There were several spots on bathroom walls that needed repainted because paint was chipping and peeling.
Overall, an interesting stay at a hotel where Mohammed Ali, John F. Kennedy and other famous people have stayed.

Overall a very nice stay, room was a little smaller than expected but was noted on the website of size. A shorter older woeknon the first day asked us at about 30 feet away from the room what room we were in multiple times and when we asked why she just shook her head. She always seemed close to our room and would just act a little strange. This interaction made us uncomfortable to get the room cleaned or have anyone in it, we ended up never having the room cleaned and would pick up towels downstairs. Overall would stay again and hopefully this wouldn’t happen again.

The more than £280 a night Queen bed room on 25th floor was clean and well tended but lacked space, a fridge, complimentary anything, a nearly blocked sink. Ergonomically the curved surfaces in bathroom and the ankle-wrecking narrow gaps between bed and furnishings added a certain frisson to a 5 night sojourn. The lobby coffee stop gave 2 cups of froth and yesterday's stale croissants for 18 dollars on Saturday morning. Of course the location is a prime spot to be, and charging 10 bucks to leave a bag for a few hours after check-out one recognises as hard nosed capitalism. Rock on!

Reserve este hotel porque lei algunas buenas reseñas y decia que era 4 estrellas. Esta cerca de Times Square y el Madison. Entiendo que es un hotel viejo pero comparado a otros hoteles que me he quedado en otros estados yo no le daria ni 2.5 o 3. Lo peor fue las cortinas llenas de polvo y cristales sucios. No tuve una buena vista de la ciudad con los cristales asi, aparte de la alergia que me dio. Puerta del closet con un hoyo de tanto golpearse con la caja fuerte. Puerta baño fea tambien. Las rejillas del baño y aire llenas de polvo. Lo unico bueno fue que me dejaron hacer check in antes.

Very clean and well maintained. Efficient and supportive staff. Easy to navigate in spite of size. Easy access to Moynihan Train Station. (Felt safe walking this distance even at midnight.) Smooth late night check-in.
Room space, while modest, was well utilized and I did not feel cramped or uncomfortable. Unique decor. Wonderful view of Madison Square Garden from the window.
Noise from street was significant but not unexpected. Encountered many homeless people outside near hotel but at no time felt threatened or harassed.
Overall, I found the New Yorker inviting, exceptionally well managed, safe, impeccably clean—an excellent “home away from home” to which to return at the ends of several demanding days spent exploring New York City.

Hotel is in a great location across from Penn Station but the room we stayed in is very small and very outdated with not much charm for how old it is. Pretty much below average room. Water noise from other rooms was annoying, especially overnight. Wyndham needs to badly update this hotel.
