The Orca Inn

It was fine for the price and for a quick one night stay solo. Check in was friendly. Bed was comfy and clean. Room was incredibly small. No coffee in the morning as promised.

Good stay. Rooms are clean with basic equipment. Hotel staff were very friendly and accommodating. The front office manager Laura was very nice and helpful during our stay. Will definitely stay there again in future.

Exactly whatbwe expected. Older motel that was very clean and reasonable. A very good place to get a good nights sleep.

We’ve stayed here several times and are always very happy with the room. The only problem was we noticed that there were ants near the microwave and refrigerator. We also noticed that they were on the desk area. This was surprising because we have never seen them before. It won’t stop us from staying there again though or stop us from recommending it to anyone going to Friday Harbor because I am confident that they will see this review and take care of the problem. (Room 214) 😊

Heater was over the top noise, spoke to representative, they switch room with no issue. All good

This place is perfect for non romantic practical clean place to stay. I loved the woman who ran it. Sorry I can’t remember her name. I felt safe. Cozy. Clean. Reminded me of a European private room in hostile. Or Orient. Stay.

Was good except for the showers. One the shower door magnets did not line up to keep the door closed. The other, there was no way you were getting a full hot shower if you are shampooing your hair and you have more than 3 hairs on your head. The water goes cold by the time you wash your hair. If they were serious about water conservation. They would have low flow showerheads so you could have a hot shower on the tiny amount of hot water in the tank.

The Orca Inn is truly one of the least expensive places to lodge on San Juan Island. I was greeted by the manager of the lodge -KJ; super courteous and helpful. The room, a single queen bed, non-smoking room, was clean and had everything we needed to rest comfortably after a wonderful day on that gorgeous island.
