I don't know why you keep asking about VIP access hotels, I have NEVER received any upgrade or amenities associated with my status at Expedia.
I arrived at the hotel at 3:30 p.m. after a very very long day and the room wasn't ready. The staff weren't helpful at all or even nice and the whole experience was bad.

We came to Tivoli lodge a few years ago. We loved it. Came back and the mold smell was so strong it was hard to sleep or honestly be in the room. We told the lady at the front reception desk and basically we wanted to move and they said that there is no refund so basically we just have to stay there or we would lose $5000. so we ended up staying. Also, I have never stayed in a property that only gave you two coffee pods, if you wanted more, they were a dollar each.. thought that was odd.
