The hotel is great; however, if you are a light sleeper, this may not be the best location. Since it’s in the city, you can hear everything from people yelling to buses or cars passing by.

When on our way, we attempted to call the hotel for parking information, front desk would not answer their phone. Ended having to talk to a cop and Another hotel’s staff and parked a block away (by Walgreens) in a multi level parking for $15/day, which was fortunately the most cost friendly route anyway. Paid for a suite with a king bed and sofa bed, but got a queen bed and no sofa bed, when I inquired with the front desk they stated rooms aren’t guaranteed through third parties, but nowhere in my booking did it state that. However, the room received was very clean. The room only had the bathroom mirror that would fog up if you took a shower, it was a struggle to get ready for the concert we were attending. Breakfast buffet was varied and has good item selection: waffles, toppings, fried eggs, sausage, diced hash browns, oatmeal, cereal, toast, yogurt, muffins. At 8:55am they were closing up the buffet doors to start cleaning.

The location is great. Valet overcharged me. No local parking within a couple blocks so it seemed to be the best option. The first room was molded, smelled terrible, the curtain was torn and had something brown on it. We were moved to another room that had toothpaste on the walls in the bathroom, more mold on the ceiling, and was right by the elevators so it was constantly noisy. Walls are thin, that didn't help. There was a lot of banging we heard throughout the night, couldn't figure out what it was. Room service had to be requested, which we were never told to request them. The window unit had a hard time keeping up with the room temp. It stayed humid in the room - which it was a rainy weekend. The bed was horribly hard and sunken in toward the middle. I wouldn't stay there again if the rooms were free.

Weekend getaway for my husband and I. Location perfect in downtown. hotel staff great. Will never stay on first floor rm 103 again. Very noisy, window but frosted glass so it’s like no window, people in the street knocking on window as walking by. AC gets very cold, beds were too hard for me but husband liked it. Didn’t have breakfast or swim in pool.

The stay was nice. My only concern was there was fresh paint on the door that caused it to stick, so you will have to put in a little effort to open and close the door. My family and I had 4 different suites so we noticed this in at least 3 out of 4 of the rooms. Also, the television in my room was not working (i.e. the guide and internet tv) but I did notify the receptionist and she said they would look into it. Valet is $45 a night for parking and we were told there was no self parking at this location. Breakfast was good for what it offered but make sure you get down there before 8am because they will run out of food and coffee, depending on the crowd. Overall the stay was okay, nice location to attractions (i.e. Alamo, Riverwalk, mall, restaurants ,coffee shops, and etc.) but I do believe it could have been better.

The room and overall experience was great. They had a happy hour in the bottom floor on Fridays and Sat that allowed you to meet other travelers. On a sad note the ac was either too cold or too hot. Blew right on you at the desk or in bed. If you turned it up it got too hot in the room.
