I had a positive experience day at the Travelodge. They let you drop off the bags before check-in so that you can travel to city without the hazard of doing it with your suitcase. They took care of all our needs. One night we had a small AC issue & the front desk was quick to send maintenance over, and change our rooms. Everyone had amazing customer service.

Check in and check out process was smooth. No issues, the rooms definitely need updates. Bathroom mirror had some type of black paint stains, he cleanliness was good, updates are needed to make the hotel more presentable to the eye.

Older property, but everything works. Excellent water pressure and temperature. Super friendly staff.

Very convenient to downtown. Simple but clean and affordable. Water pressure was sadly weak.

They are trying to double charge me

The rooms were completely unkempt and although decently sized, the ac unit wasnt central, windows couldnt be opened to let in cool air, and the heat experienced made for an uncomfortable stay. The remote to the tv needed new batteries. The mattresses were so beat up and old they sank in the mkddle. When a complaint to the front desk was made, tehy couldnt find

seemed like a classic old hotel in a big city downtown

It’s in a great location, close to Michigan Avenue, served by Red Line as well as Blue line with other lines being a stop or two away.Walkable area , good variety of restaurants nearby. Room was spacious and quiet and staff was very helpful ,pleasant to work with. Only complaint was some of the charging ports were not close to bed or two far away and the pipes in the room kept making awful noises for half an hour or so. A minor inconvenience.

Positive # 1: I was offered early check-in and late check out at no extra cost. Thank you. Positive # 2: My backpack was taken care of properly when I had to leave it at the front desk after checking out. Negative # 1: The noise of the train was terrible at night. I called the reception to check if any rooms were available for switching but no luck. Customers book a hotel to have a good nights sleep, but in my case I hardly got any sleep. Please do something about it, e.g. making the windows sound proof. I understand that the room rate was affordable pricewise but that doesn't mean customer should spend a sleepless night in return. Negative # 2: Please provide a bottle of water in the room. It doesn't cost much. Thank you.

This is a good choice when the rest of Chicago hotel rates are astronomical. Excellent dining choices surround it. Comfy room. Nice amenities in the bath. Nice lobby.

Great location for walking

Customer service was EXCELLENT! Such nice, friendly and helpful staff!! Everyone, from cleaning service, to security guard to front desk. The room was what I would expect for a hotel in downtown Chicago at the fair price I paid. Older building, do their best to keep it up. Nothing fancy (like the Congress Plaza nearby, which was more expensive), but it served it's purpose for what we needed. Clean. Very quiet - little street noise. Bed comfortable, pillow not to my liking, but that was my personal opinion. Blankets are thin (fine with me, but my daughter used an extra blanket from home we had in the car). Air conditioning worked fine. I had two rooms with 2 double beds, felt they were spacious and both rooms had a small refrigerator, microwave, and counter with small sink - that was very helpful. Desk with a rolling chair and a stationary chair. Our view was not the greatest - Just a brick building next door, but we weren't there for the view. Breakfast is not free, but there is a restaurant/diner that serves breakfast and lunch - good food and friendly service. A parking lot directly across the street - self pay (not valet). It was $62 for 24 hours, cannot come and go with car but I was able to go to my car if I needed something from it. The excellent front desk staff did help me use SpotHero app on my phone to find cheaper parking nearby. I went with the more expensive lot across the street for convenience. Would stay here again if visiting this area of Chicago.
