West Beach Inn, a Coast Hotel

Fabulous staff that remember me. Fun to meet new people at the pool with the free wine and cheese happy hour. Love the small boutique feel to this hotel!

Great location for a stay in SB. We walked everywhere (other than the day we were picked up to bike ride through nearby Santa Ynez Valley for wine tasting). Breakfast and wine and cheese happy hour included. Clean, quiet and comfortable. Loved how many rooms had outdoor seating to relax on property. Pool area was nice with ample seating as well.

Good location

Made reservations online and arrived 40 minutes later. Clerk was prepping reservation as we walked in. We had been at the airport for 12 hours and had flight cancelled. He went and got us a glass of wine, even though happy hour was over. It was the first nice thing that had happened since 6:45am!!!

This hotel is conveniently situated, near restaurants, safe and quiet. Rooms are clean and members of staff and management are super helpful.

Me and my husband loved it. The only issue I saw is the smoke that was probably coming from the boat port that was access the hotel

The staff were amazingly friendly and professional. The wine and cheese happy hour was relaxing. The heated pool and hot tub were comfortable. There were plenty cozy places to sit around the property.

Not too bad. Kind of pricey, but it is in Santa Barbara

West Beach Inn was a great place to stay to enjoy Santa Barbara and relax. Very friendly staff, great location, and comfortable room. Hot coffee available 24 hours in the lobby was a huge plus for this PNW coffee addict. The continental breakfast was perfectly adequate (I mean that in a good way) and they wine and cheese happy hour was very nice. Excellent restaurants within walking distance and adequate parking. The only negative is that there is a lot of road noise from West Cabrillo Blvd. Likely not as issue if you don't have a room with a marina view that overlooks the water and marina.

Wonderful place to stay. Near everything and wine and cheese in evening. Room very clean Quiet location. Exceptional staff. Stay you won’t regret it.

I love this hotel

The hotel is walking distance to the pier. We stayed on the upper floor suite. It is spacious and complete with amenities. Beds are comfortable. We got to use the roll out and sofa beds (which are already made). We also have a designated parking spot which made it very convenient. Three things for improvement: overall smell of the suite, the cleanliness of the sofa (we had to use wipes to remove some grease smudges on the sofa and found chip crumbs when we opened the sofa bed), and not enough partition in the shower to keep the water from spraying out on the bathroom floor keeping the towel mat soaked. Overall, we had a pleasant stay. The staff were helpful, warm, and they made us feel valued. Thank you.

Convenient for beach

The location was perfect and the service was excellent

The West Beach Inn is right on the main road fronting Santa Barbara harbor and beach. It is conveniently walkable to the main part of downtown Santa Barbara and the pier, where the shops and restaurants are located. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and neat, and the property was well maintained. Best of all, the room rates were lower than some of the more expensive hotels located closer to the pier and downtown area.

Great location, nice amenities. Would have liked a gym. The pool was good and the Continental breakfast was appreciated. A little pricey for such a minimalist place, but you pay for location.

The front staff knew we were staying for 2 nights but unfortunately, they put us at the closest room to the construction. We heard nothing but banging/hammering, talking, and a machine that sounded open a chainsaw on the roof, from 11am-4pm. It was my husband’s birthday so we were very excited to have some peace, quiet, and relaxation but that did not happen. Very unhappy because there were so many rooms they could’ve put us in. I notified the staff regarding the noise and they were supposed to notify the manager but no one has called me. The room was nice, a little small, but had what we needed. The bathroom and shower was a good size. AC worked great. Very convenient and safe area. Wine and cheese was a nice touch, along with continental breakfast. No hot food such as bacon or sausage, but fruit, yogurt and bagels were fine.

The staff are so friendly and inviting. The hot tub and pool are so clean and the perfect temperature Absolutely love this hotel stay and tell all my friends!

Nice location by the beach. Has good common areas. Breakfast was decent. They ran out of batter for waffles quite early (Should prepare ahead). One small thing: the bathroom smelled a bit damp (not sure if the vent was running with weak flow).
