Cleaner & nicer than most places in town, but in a couple years, it’s going to be like many of the others if they don’t step it up and clean and take care of the place, better. Walls and beds have quite a few scuffs, seals in bathroom walk-in showers are gross. Carpets are starting to bunch up. Pool area needs a good cleaning. Had someone open our door at 7am. Thankfully I had the safety lock on. I told the front desk it was a bit unnerving because I had a young teenage daughter in there. All we got was a sorry that happened.

The room was sub-par due to worn out and dirty carpeting. There was little to no decor which made the room look cheap…and this place wasn’t cheap. The beds were made up strangely and the heater/AC unit was inefficient. The breakfast area seemed to be done for the day even tho I was there before the deadline.
I expect more from a Wingate.

I arrived at the property around 10pm. There was a note on the front desk saying “Helping another guest, will be back shortly.” Waited and waited for someone to come. I was calling sale manages numbers on business cards I found at the front desk, No Answer! I called the main property hotline just to be told they can’t refund my money because I booked through Expedia! Finally the worker shows up over an hour later, saying he had an emergency. Finally get to my room and I always check the beds. Sure enough the sheets had crumbs and a piece of hair on the sheets. Ask to switch rooms. I had to be up at 5am and so after all that I probably missed out on almost 1 hr and 45 mins of sleep. Never will I ever stay there again!

Bed sheet had blood spots on it, unfortunately I didn’t notice until I woke up the next morning. Each bed had metal rods sticking out from underneath the bed because the frames were too big for the beds, and metal bed frame was broken in one corner with sharp metal hanging off. All of this made for a stressful evening as I had 3 crawling babies!

Mainly disappointed with the cleanliness. Pool area was run down. Our room had hair balls or something hanging off of the curtains. Box spring had dirt and who knows what else in areas where u cud see the box spring. Same “dirt” was along the edges of the bathroom by the toilet. Breakfast was good as well as those who served the breakfast. Lobby computer didn’t

The pool area was disgusting. Food laying on the ground as well as bandaids for days on end. There was a garbage pile in the hallway that kept accumulating everyday and never got cleaned up. The one good thing about the place was that they had a good breakfast.

Good breakfast. Staff responsiveness to problems with room qas leas than average. Heater in room didn’t work which is a problem in November weather. No maintenance on weeked so they offered to move rooms.

Initial greeting was not warm or welcoming (at the front desk); general condition of the property seemed poor and lots of small things in poor condition or not well-kept (burn out light bulbs, rust, stained carpet, etc)
Overall experience was straight forward.
Would have been nice to have a quilt and extra pillow in the room.
