Room was not cleaned for 2 days. We tipped the maid but she didn’t clean the room and said she did. No phone. Tv worked for one day.

The guy that checked me in was super nice and very helpful. The room smelled like cigarettes but what can ya do.

No suitcase rack. No tub stopper (you might as well just take the tub out and put in a walk-in shower). Traffic on I-20 very much heard. But it felt safe, and it's convenient.

The room was very hot.. the ac was on but wasn’t blowing cold air..the phone in the room didn’t work so i had to go downstairs for everything.. no ice machine on the floor i was on..had about 5 big towels and one small towel..had food left in the microwave from whoever stayed before.. i will not be staying here again

Poor cleaning, the carpet was filthy, tv didn’t work.. Didn’t offer any room service.

I have stayed in this hotel before it’s a total downgrade they have 1/2 roll of toilet paper in the room I will come back here to stay

Check in was pleasant. DJ, the evening front desk rep, was very friendly and accommodating. Emily, the morning desk attendant, was friendly, accommodating and apologetic regarding room issues. The atmosphere was ok but the hotels interior was a bit dark. Having stayed at a higher end brand the previous weekend, I'd like to report the hallway carpeting appeared better tended at the Wingate than the higher end hotel. Older hotels sometimes have a stale or ominous smell, not the case here. While some of the rooms have received partial updates, there's still alot of work to be done here. The breakfast was not pleasing to the senses but, there was an attempt to have a start up to the day. The supervisor (I think) of the cleaning staff was in the main atrium, right beside the front desk, discussing staff issues with other cleaning staff and the tone and demeanor of the conversation SHOULD HAVE been conducted in a more closed door setting. I was uncomfortable hearing the personnel conversation and poor management decisions that were taking place. This facility wasn't 3 star but, it wasn't an absolutely horrible experience. Always start your stay planning by contacting the location and asking for any tarveler discount. I saved $18 booking through hotels.com on night 1, however, I actually saved $49 on the second night by asking for any available traveler discount directly at the hotel. May not always be a bigger savings but, doesn't hurt to ask.

There was no remote to the TV in the room. I went to get one from the desk and they didn't know what remote to give me. Never did work that night. The next morning I took a shower and the hair dryer didn't work. The cover was about half off and my husband looked in - there were wires that had been cut!! The lady working during the day was great - very kind. But, the property isn't being kept up real well.

This place was actually disgusting. The one star is generous. The toilets looked like they haven’t been scrubbed in minimum twenty years, the mattress cover (that was hanging out from under the sheets) was covered in blood, we had no toilet paper, there was a bug in the bed, the main light in the room didn’t work, the bathroom door looked like someone had chewed the thing up, the alarm clock was shattered, and I refused to even walk on the floors with socks on. Absolutely disgusting

Staff was super friendly. Rooms were nice and clean

They don’t clean the rooms I stayed 2 week just one time they cleaned

The pool was so so cold my kids got sick and didn't want to got back in wow i didn't get in the pool at all it was to cold

I didn’t Except a 5 star hotel, but this was pretty bad . Strange musty odor. Tiny lumpy pillows. Disgusting shower and bathroom. Wouldn’t stay again.

Well, we try to check in an hour earlier. The guy tried to charge us $50. When I told him I wouldn’t pay it. He backed down. There was no coffee in the room when I went to get more coffee they didn’t have any the curtains were dirty. The chair was stained up outside where they smoked with cigarette butts all over the ground. In the bedroom, the mirror had toothpaste all over it still so the room was not clean properly. The entry light to the room didn’t work bathroom light halfway worked. The Lockdoor was very movable. no extra pillows to get. That was about it. We will not be staying there again.

This was a business trip, I don't need fancy, but clean should be a given. Cleanliness: 2/10 Water Pressure / Heat: 5 / 5 Comfort: 6/10 Overall: 6/10

Carpet was nasty, needs to be shampooed or removed. Shower and showerhead was nasty. Breakfast was nasty. Beds were hard. It was quiet and that was the only good thing about it. Definitely not worth the price. Didn’t have breakfast the second morning.
