National Palace Museum (not including tickets, visit by yourself)
The National Palace Museum can be roughly divided into bronzes, calligraphy and painting, ceramics, books and classics, handicrafts and court cultural relics. Famous bronze wares include Maogong Ding, Scattered Pan, and Zong Zhou Zhong; three famous calligraphy and painting works include Guo Xi's "Early Spring Picture", Fan Kuan's "Xishan Travel Picture", Su Shi's "Cold Food Poster"; the famous books and classics include Wenyuan Pavilion "Four Library Quanshu", "Siku Quanshu Huiyao" and so on. Handicrafts are the biggest feature of the Forbidden City, including the must-see star exhibits Jade Jade Cabbage and Meat-shaped Stones. There are about tens of thousands of jade wares, as well as lacquer wares, glass wares, gold and silver wares, pens, inks, papers and inkstones.
For the first visit, we will focus on the above-mentioned popular exhibits. If you have enough time, you can add the Qing coral Kuixing dou bonsai, Tang gray pottery and colorful lady figurines, Ru kiln celadon lotus-style warming bowls in the Northern Song Dynasty, and the Qing Dynasty Qianlong Ji blue-painted gold-painted swimming fish. Heart vase, Zun Zun inlaid with malachite and turquoise in the middle of the Warring States period, Jade to ward off evil spirits in the Eastern Han Dynasty, topaz duck from the Song to Yuan Dynasties, etc. The exhibits in the museum will be changed regularly, and special exhibitions will be launched according to the theme to meet the needs of tourists to explore thousands of years of Chinese culture.
