Cambridge Lodge - Hostel

Great place to stay for a night if you're looking for something relatively inexpensive but clean. I cannot speak highly enough of the hotel staff. She really went out of her way to make me and my family comfortable. Fantastic customer service! ❤️

Close to the train station, street parking but not too hard to find a park. Staff on phone was helpful and polite. Didn't see any staff in person during our stay. Rooms were clean and comfortable, but the building is tired. eg ripped carpet on stairs =trip hazard, bathroom had a lot of plaster very worn etc. The key system is a bit weird, but ok once you work it out! I understand it is an old building, but these are maintenance issues.

An old but maintained boarding house with a relaxed feeling in a great location!! The Managers are lovely & welcoming they make sure you have what you need for a comfortable stay!

Very friendly staff. Convenient to reach from airport by uber. Nice kitchen to use. Furnitures are old. We found some small insects inside the bedroom.

The property is only a walk to the bustling Enmore and Newtown restaurant and entertainment strip. Its also a short walk to Stanmore train station.

The property was an easy walk to transportation, clean, had an issue with a blocked toilet, looks like property is under renovations in parts (Or needs a little) beds very comfortable, great views, has character. Very affordable, and friendly staff. Nice and quiet for a mini vacation. Or a weekend retreat.

Checked in after hours, room was unsafe, drug addicts outside and room was ground floor with a window that wouldn’t close. Unable to talk to anyone due to after hours check in.

There were a couple of roaches but not unexpected for Australia. It was quite hot with only a fan in the room and the bathroom smelled weird but not too bad a place for the price.

Great location, with much potential, but the interior needs a lot of work.

The good - Beds were comfy enough, but not outsatnding - Relatively cheap, but you definitely get what you pay for - Near to stanmore train station so transportation is easy and cheap into the CBD - Near to enmore restaurants which have every type of cuisine you could want at affordable prices - Wifi is fast enough to stream tv shows/films, but you'll need to log in every time you connect to it (for whatever reason if I was connected to it for "too long" the wifi would get slow) The not so good - Unclean, a cockroach was in my room and another was in the kitchen. People washed pots and pans but didn't put them away & the hobs would get filthy - No lockers to lock items away so you're hoping nobody in your room steals from you - Timers on lights in bathrooms says they're 15 minutes but they actually turn off after 10 & one of the lights in the bathroom just stopped working - The smoke from people smoking weed/cigs outside of the entrance ended up coming into the room if you kept the window open.... - ....which you had to as there was no a/c, only a floor fan which was broken but semi functioning; alongside a ceiling fan which was also broken and non-functioning - Lack of plug sockets for half of the room, so I had to use my portable battery to charge my phone as there were no extension cables in the room

On flight path. Some guests not always mindful of the main doors closing noisily during the night. Insufficient lighting to illuminate outside entrance stairs.

Very helpful informative staff upon arrival. Great value especially considering location. Will stay again! 👍🇦🇺

The reception lady was very nice and helpful. A train station just near by so very convenient. Some nice food and grocery stores near the bus stops also not far away.

初めてこのようなホステルに泊まりましたが、想像より清潔に保たれていました。いろんな国の人がいるので共有部分(トイレやキッチンなど)はその時によると思いますが、清掃後の状態は綺麗でした。また、1人部屋には水道がついていて、とても重宝しました。 受付の人がとても親切で、毎回帰ってきて挨拶するのが楽しかったです。 デメリットをあげるなら、壁が薄いのか(国柄なのか？)足跡や人の声はすごく聞こえます。また飛行機の音や外の騒音も丸聞こえです。 洗濯機は12:00までは清掃の人が使っていて使えないようです。 同じ時期に泊まっていた方々はキッチンで楽しくお話してくれたりしました。 Cityまでも出やすいので、このくらいの価格帯で探してるのであればオススメだと思います。
