Flinders Ranges Motel

It was in a convenient location for our purposes. I didn’t really interact with any staff.

What a lovely stay in Quorn. We centred our Flinders trip around the amazing Quorn Pichi Richi steam train pre booked tour to Woolshed Flat which included a short stop for a snack. Some may say the rooms at the Mill are outdated however for our stay it had everything we needed. The room was very large including a very comfortable queen bed, was very clean apart from some cobwebs, included the basics (toaster, kettle, microwave, iron/board, hairdryer, washing bowl/supplies) and everything we personally needed for our short stay. Our room was situated within walking distance of the main street and surrounds. During our stay we experienced a vintage tractor display, met the Dutch Solar Racing team who took the time to talk about their journey with their displayed solar car, visited an old bank which was now owned by a lovely artist and was full of her artwork, bric/brac, jams and much more, dined at the Quandong Cafe who made the best Quandong Cheesecake, experienced the Pichi Richi Railway station and museum and toured out of the town to the Warren Gorge and other lovely trails. This town has a beautiful shaded park in the main street with plenty of shaded street parking for larger vehicles/caravans, small supermarket, pharmacy and 3 hotels. The best bit was when walking home one night we met and spoke with an elderly local who had grown up in Quorn. You can’t beat the historical information this man spoke of. Just amazing.

Warm & comfortable room, various restaurants & hotels within walking distance, & the Pichi Richi Railway Station is just up the road. A lovely little town, in a beautiful area.

Adequate accommodation for our requirement for the night.

big bedroom and bathroom....good ... comfortable bed ... Screen in shower would have been better than a shwr curtain ...as water comes outside on the floor too much.... Also cobwebs on the ceiling and cornices of the bedroom But would still recommend to friends as close to all shops, hotels and Pichi Richi Railway and affordable price for overnight stays..

bad worn out matress we had sore backs thought we were staying in mill not out the back in chalets

Arrived and no proprietor. Saw some keys in a room door with my name on them and I felt very unsafe going in. Checked to make sure no one else was in there. Linen smelt, no info re dinner in town, tap dripped all night, no facewasher, heater behind curtain so couldn't use it, no tissues. Rang the out of hours number as also no instruction about checking out - no answer.

We were disappointed to see so many cob webs around the room maybe cleaners could look up. We also had trouble sleeping with the toilet running all night

IN WINTER DO NOT BOOK ROOM 8, as on a clear night the AIR CONDITIONER will only give you lukewarm air at best, especially if you arrive around sunset or later. Otherwise the room was ok with other adequate facilities for the price. It was the A/C that let us down - the room was freezing and by morning we weren't even getting lukewarm air!! And the old A/C was noisy. And my electric blanket did not work on all settings and did not compensate for the coldness of the room. I did leave a message request for a fan heater, but as there is no one on site, this was not forthcoming. Overall, I would still recommend this place as long as you ensure that you will get winter comfort, otherwise go elsewhere. Lastly, if you do book check that you are paying the advertised price.

Clean, quiet, plenty of parking, couple of pubs in street with dining, cafes, supermarket.

The bed was comfortable. The cobwebs in the bathroom were a bit off putting. The room smelt very musty.

Key was in the door no reception so don’t know if staff friendly or nou Batteries flat I remote for tv and nowhere to get new ones do no television A

Quiet town & Location

Room was spacious and met the needs of our family

Comfy room. Need to fix door lock n cutain pull . Very clean and well supplied. Would stay again.

Unusual in that there was no reception nor onsite presence.

The appartement was good value for the price.It was clean and functional for our needs and we have no complaints

Never saw management. We stayed in the family room which is over crowded with beds and no couch to sit on. It was our most expensive accommodation in our 3 week out back holiday but the most disappointing. However it did provide a good TV reception. We could not get the air conditioner to go so without opening windows it was very stuffy. The shower rod was unattached and collapsed to the floor. The toilet bowl was broken in two places.
