Lancemore Milawa

The hotel has been neglected and a lot of the garden is overgrown. All of the balconies are shared so there is no privacy at all. The room itself was nice. The food was ok but most of the meals were served like warm. The pictures definitely make it look better than it is and for $600 a night (Boxing Day) we expected a lot more.

I have stayed here twice and the service and comfort of each stay has been excellent. The staff are warm and friendly.

Staff always is welcoming and the hotel is so clean . I feel like I am at home .

Lovely team! The hotel itself is stunning with gorgeous views. We dined at the restaurant which was delicious and Brekky was amazing too.

A relaxing stay in quiet surroundings.

Very nice stay, large room, nice balcony, comfy bed and beautiful surroundings especially from the restaurant and lounge looking out to the vines. Short work to Milawa Pub, Brown Brothers, short drive to Oxley, Winton, Benalla, Wangaratta.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay. We stayed on the sunset side and had tea on the balcony in the morning. If you are lucky you can see the hot air balloons gliding over the vines before going higher in the sky. We had dinner and breakfast at the accommodation and both were excellent. The staff were warm and inviting.

We drove to Milawa specifically so we could stay at this wonderful hotel...and it did not disappoint! The room was beautiful - all the luxiourious touches you'd hope for. Bed was very comfortable. Everything was exactly like the photos. Amazing breakfast too. Would love to stay here again.

Disappointing after a renovation that Lancemore still cuts corners, use the cheapest material and make what should be a great experience feel like you are in a 1960's British holiday camp

Good sized rooms.

I organised a one night stay over the weekend for my partners birthday. I requested a cheese platter upon arrival along with a bottle of sparkling be delivered to the room upon arrival. The cheese was in the fridge (we weren’t told) so I had to follow up with reception. There was also no cutlery with the cheese for us to use. My partner had to go downstairs and grab a knife. No ice bucket for the wine.. so it was room temperature. Not the welcoming or surprise I wanted for my partner. Further I also requested a birthday candle for my partners dessert at dinner in the hotel restaurant (prior to making the booking) hotel staff confirmed via email this would be accommodated. The hotel failed to deliver. The service at reception was really bad no one at reception and when I rang the mobile number the lady was seemed upset because I bothered her. Overall not the stay I was hoping for.

A beautiful hotel, felt spoilt, lovely view and breakfast

The biggest concern with this property is the soundproofing. We stayed for two nights, and both nights we had trouble sleeping because we could hear all the voices and TVs from the neighbouring rooms. The soundproofing is very poor, and the management needs to address and fix this issue.

Property located in front of a winery. Big room given to us. However, VIP access was not provided after two times of asking the front desk. Room was clean. Would love to stay again. Breakfast was average.

From the moment we checked in until the time we left, everything was surprisingly almost perfect!!! The warm and friendly welcome received from Serena at check-in was much appreciated after receiving a 'not so warmly greeting' at our previous B&B accommodation. Thank you, Serena! Room - Spotlessly clean and quiet! Amenities - The bathrobe, body wash, shampoo, conditioner and soap provided were all of a high quality! Bed & Bed Linen - The bed was very comfortable for us and the bed linen was also of very good quantity. In Room Mini Bar & Snacks - A great variety provided and, once again, good brands supplied. Reading materials, i.e. Travel magazine and other informative brochures and magazines were also provided. Ironing board, iron, hair dryer, kettle, luggage rest and a small, but decent fridge, was standard inclusion in all rooms. PS - Fridge being larger than the average tiny bar fridge provided in all hotels. A surprising and much appreciated inclusion was a 'Martini package', including a Stainless steel shaker, martini glasses, alcohol and mixers for a night of entertainment! Overall, service was impeccable! An extra special thanks to Serena and Lydia for making our one night stay there a most memorable one. Your friendly, obliging and attentative qualities were certainly noticed and much appreciated! You are both an asset to The Lancemore Hotel! We look forward to returning there soon for a much longer stay of pampering! Restaurant - 5/5 Delectable!!!
