Room was spacious and perfect for a night stay

Room was clean and nice. Strange setup if casino below but the hotel is great and convenient to trams and train.

The bathrooms were share for all patrons not private

Clean and friendly staff, and very convenient if you are into public transport. Just the shares toilet and bath is a bit of a inconvinience, imagine having to pee in the middle of your sleep. But overall, this hotel is very good

An amazing great-value find. Nervous about shared amenities? Don’t be, the bathrooms are spacious, private and spotless, always. The bedroom was on the Small side but one of the most comfortable beds I’ve slept in. We-appointed with desk & TV, it was quiet and peaceful. The kitchen/lounge was well stocked with tea, coffee etc and comfortable to lounge in. Having the bistro and bar downstairs was great, and the Rump steak perfectly cooked. Huge thanks to Marty, Arjun and Julie who were a great laugh and really helpful. Will be back.

I booked the Royal Hotel for a weekend stay for my birthday. I used wotif for the original one night but called the hotel prior to the date to book an extra night so i was staying friday and saturday night. The manager i spoke to over the phone took my details and advise upon check in ill need to pay for the extra night. However when i went to check in they only had me checked in for the one night. The man at front desk said he ask the Assistant Manager and started serving other customers i was waiting 10 mins. Eventally a lady came over and said she wasnt sure if they had avaliability for second night. Upon further checking the notes she saw the Manager had a note that i was staying extra night. They gave me the key card but no drink card -They said i wasnt eligible as i booked through wotif although i said i called them directly. They gave us the disabled room with open shower i guess this is the only room they had avaliable. The room had no table or proper chairs they had tree stumps as bedside tables. Defintely not worth the money. As there was open shower the water would flood the bathroom causing OHS risk .The windows were not sound proof and we could hear the cars and there was a loud pipe sound that came on every half an hour. I had to go down to reception to get the hairdryer. On the saturday they cancelled our keycard as they didnt communicate re second night. It was very poor communication. I would not recommend!

It was exceptionally clean, the dining area was also always kept in excellent condition. The staff were nice and helpful. Free parking made our trip stay so much easier.

Wanting to travel to Flemington racecourse for an event we found this little gem. Great staff, good food and quick service . We stayed in a queen ensuite room it was very clean and well maintained. Highly recommend

Clean and quiet hotel

Very clean! We did not initially park at the hotel car park because it was full on a Friday night. However, there is a large, well lit public car park across the road. Happy with the amenities. The lady at the front desk advised us that most restaurants closed by 8pm. But we found that Two Fat Greeks was open and serving food at 9pm, delish!

Great location, service, food and l have never seen a venue so clean. Highly recommend and will be back.

Reasonable place to stay, it was clean tidy and comfortable. It suited my needs
