Pousada Ciclo do Ouro

A pousada requer uma boa reforma, tijolos aparentes, paredes rachadas, cortinas caindo. Falta acabamento e um maior capricho nos detalhes. O quarto é pequeno, o Wi-Fi não funcionava assim como a TV a cabo. Falta uma mesa ou escrivaninha com cadeira, o banheiro não tinha uma prateleira para os apetrechos de banho e, para pendurar as roupas ou toalhas, há um gancho dentro do box! A dona da pousada é muito atenciosa e prestativa, o pessoal de serviço também, mas estes problemas deixaram má impressão da pousada, a mais cara das que me hospedei até então. É muito bem localizada, perto da estação ferroviária e da Praça Tiradentes.

I started receiving emails directly from the hotel, in Portuguese, demanding a 50% bank transfer or my room would not be guaranteed. This was not a condition of the booking, which the website reassured me of on several occasions. Despite that, I continued receiving emails threatening to cancel my reservation up to two days before our arrival. After all of the complaining (on the hotel's side) about the deposit, I was not even asked for the deposit upon check in. When we got into the room, everything was damp. But, given the price, we weren't expecting five star accommodations. The thing we could not handle though, was the bathroom. Any time we (or anyone in the building) flushed a toilet, an incredibly LOUD, obnoxious noise emanated from the ceiling. It lasted for more than five minutes. It was for this reason that we checked out a day early and headed back to Belo. When we checked out, a different man worked the desk for us. He asked if we would like to pay with a credit card or cash. After all of the emails from the girl who worked the desk, I couldn't believe that they did, in fact, accept credit cards. I wasted HOURS of my life on the phone with the hotel and with customer support because the girl answering the phone would not accept a credit card.

Pessoal muito simpático mas colchões muito ruim. Estacionamento super difícil devido a ladeira.
