Rooms updated. Construction continues. Older hotel but comfortable

The beds were very comfortable. The staff was wonderful! Very friendly and helpful. A/C was too loud to keep on, so the room was rather stuffy. Not a fan of carpet in the rooms, especially when they are supposed to be pet friendly.

You are located in the heart of the city right next to the world-renowned Zillionares caberet and cafe. Couldn't have asked for a nicer staff at the hotel!

The staff were great. The room was adequate. The breakfast was good but could be much better with the selection. It would be great to have things like eggs on a warmer/hot plate. Sausages would also be a welcome addition to the menu.

Yes, this is an older hotel and is in the middle of renovation and upgrading. Our room was clean and the staffs are super friendly and helpful. Looking forward to our stay here again in the fall.

Due to the lack of proper ventilation in the bathroom, there was an unpleasant odor in the room. In addition, the breakfast buffet did not offer even a single hot food item.

Everything is good. Location, parking,staff, breakfast, cleanness, kitchen . Everything is better than what I expected.

Friendly staff but: Air condition not working properly, it’s not cold. No hot water Annoying sound in the morning. I woke up tiredly because of this

The staff were nice and helpful in the few interactions I had, and room service was okay. Breakfast was very basic, just some fruit and muffins, but at least it was available. That said, the building is clearly old and it shows. The room and hallways felt very dark, and the carpets were badly stained, which gave the place an overall feeling of not being very clean. The room had a kitchen, which is convenient, but the appliances and equipment looked very old and worn out. The maintenance also seemed lacking. The shower faucet felt like it could break at any moment, the bathroom vent was pretty nasty, the windows looked dirty, and the old AC unit had a lot of dust and broken buttons. The location is convenient if you want fast food nearby, but it also felt a bit sketchy. It’s right next to a club, so noise was definitely an issue. Nothing terrible happened during my stay, but for the money, I think we could have stayed somewhere newer, cleaner, and better maintained.

The Good: The price is reasonable, the place is kept very clean, they appear to be undergoing renovations (which I'll touch on later) so hopefully when you read this review the place will be even more solid and it's good to see it happening. The flooring and bathrooms also look like they've been recently redone and that staff are friendly and helpful. The Bad: The site is in a pretty car dependent area which you may not realize at first. The free breakfast is pretty spartan (No Meat, Boiled Eggs, frozen waffles, pretty much just cereal and various baked goods) and the breakfast area is a bit cramped. You especially notice it when there isn't another place you can walk to that serves breakfast. The Ugly: So yeah, the renovations. My impression is these are things that have piled up over time and are now getting fixed (new management perhaps?). There is a real need for them to do this, as the halls are very dank, it looks like the site had a gym that is in ruins right now, there's a connected convenience store to the hotel that seems to keep odd hours, part of the parking lot is sectioned off and there's a need to start replacing furniture (chairs whose upholstery is giving out/dinged up, tables I remember from the 80s). Having the renovators kick up dust and cause the fire alarm to go off also doesn't help things. Thankfully it happened during the day, not at night. Again, I applaud them for doing this, I just think they may have delayed too long.

Nice and spacious rooms, can easily accommodate a family of 6. My wife and I each grabbed a bed and we noticed the couch beside us was a pull out. I slept for 8.5 hours. I usually get 6 on average. Bathroom was also nice and big. Only reason I didn't go five star on this review is the hotel is under renos, which is good that it is being kept up to date, but would like to see what its like after they're done.Continental breakfast was nice. Very friendly staff.

Simple and met the basic stuff I needed, a bed.

Too hot in the room and air conditioning noisy. Water pressure in shower low.

Solo-traveler. As a pet owner I loved seeing the dog treats at the front door. Staff were very friendly, and efficient. Nice simple breakfast included. Close to several good restaurants in walking distance. Loved the big smart TV in the room.

The front view and the location probably impede the quality of the hotel. Staff are extremely professional, work with a smile, polite, and helpful. The room is spacious and very clean. It's a proper top 3.5 star hotel.

The staff are really helpful and the rooms are quite affordable. You cannot complain too much with 0nly 100 cad a night.

The location is next nrar a downtown area. The hotel is clean and quiet however it can be hard to get in and out of parking. We enjoyed our stay and they are undergoing some renovations.

other guests leaving door open alarm going off after 2 seconds waking us up repeatedly. shower door wouldn't stay closed, heat controls were hard to manage in room.
