Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott St. John's Newfoundland

The staff were nice. Breakfast was good but the bread section only has one old toaster for everyone to use. Very slow because of this. The hot breakfast was great except for that. The tv was broken for our entire stay although they did give me bonus points because of that, which I appreciated. The garbage and recycle containers in the room need to be bigger. They are TINY. We requested the room be cleaned on our second day as we had two kids, so we needed more towels and the garbage was overflowing. They didn't clean it, although they sent someone up that night too empty the garbage and bring towels. Overall, it was a good stay and the things I mentioned would not stop me from staying there again.

The sofa bed for the Kids wasnt comfortable at all. Bad smelling in the room. They made renovation next to our room at 8 in the morning..! The breakfast was perfect.

Good location, convenient. Hotel is clean. Breakfast is below average.

The view from the rear of the building was quite nice. The staff were also quite nice. The hotel is situated in a somewhat industrial area and the nearby restaurants (Starbucks especially) do not close their garbage bins so a large number of belligerent seagull congregate here to pick at the garbage and loose copious droppings on cars in the parking lot. Breakfast was 'ok' if you get there early each day.

Liked this hotel as it was very easy to get to and had lots of restaurants and shopping nearby. Also very close to St. John's and the airport.

Great hotel eill definitely visit again when visiting the city

Great stay!

Kids loved the pool and slide. The pool was a little over capacity most evenings and is on the smaller side. There wasn’t a close eye kept there by staff and a hockey tournament with some teenage boys left me a little weary of my littles in the pool. I don’t blame this too much on the staff but a closer eye would have been nice.

Liked the discount at the next door restaurant, excellent breakfast, and convenient location for downtown, airport and surrounding sites.

When I got to the hotel, the computer system was down no problem. I waited a bit to get my room and then it was taking too long so the attendant at the front desk gave me what he called a temporary key to get into my room. When I went to my room, the temporary key did not work so I had to go back down to front desk. The system was still down, so then I had to be escorted by who I think is the custodian of the hotel and he opened my room door, but that's after having to wait for him to arrive to the lobby to pick me up, which took several minutes. I checked in on Monday and I understood that housekeeping is only every second day so when I left the hotel at 10:30 AM on Wednesday morning, I asked that my room be cleaned when I return to the hotel at three. It still wasn't clean so I went back down to the front desk to ask once again if my room would be clean and I was rest assured that it will be done by 4:30 because that's when housekeeping leaves. As a result, I went to the pool for one hour and 20 minutes and then I returned to my room at 4:20 and to my surprise it was still not done and then I had to call back and make a big fuss over the phone and finally they came in our room, but they rushed everything because they were leaving at 4:30 meanwhile, we had to shower while they were in our room cleaning because we had the reservations for supper at 5:30. I've been outside of the city. I also told the front desk person that the fridge actually froze my entire grocery.

I have stayed at this property more than once It has,always had coffee in the lobby at all times, but nit this time Small bottles of creams etc in the bathroom.and always had a haurdryer in room I was disappointed this morning after my shower that there was no hairdryer to dry my haur .rhe breakfast fiod is not the greatest anymore. Scrambled eggs were like rubber, hash browns were burnt up the only item that was actually giod was the sausages
