We needed a room for an extended layover at Yvr. The Fairmont was over 900 per night cdn. We looked up this hotel on Expedia and for a quarter of the price and free shuttle it was a no brainer.. highly recommend and will stay again

Hotel was great, but two of the lifts were out of action which lead to over crowded lifts and kind delays s getting too and from the room.

This is one of the nicest hotels we have stayed in. This is highly recommended if you need a hotel near the airport. Check in and check out was a breeze. They have a free shuttle that runs every 30 minutes to and from the airport. It only takes about 5 minutes to get to the airport and back. The hotel was very nice and clean, the staff were very helpful and friendly. We will surely stay at this hotel again.

Only 1 out of 3 elevators work and apparently it’s been like that for months. They have fenced off the walking path at both sides of the property due to a previous labour strike where they didn’t want people walking around people striking and now that the strike is over - they never took the fencing down but will come and yell at you if you let your dog pee on the small bit of green grass despite it being a pet friendly hotel. They tell you that dogs must only use the so-called walking path. But, no one maintains it and it’s full of branches, garbage and it’s unkempt. The air conditioning in the room was loud and made the air so dry that I actually went and got a small air humidifier just so I would be able to sleep - before I did that, I woke up 4 times to drink water during the night. What a miserable week it was here… it’s a shame because aesthetically, everything is nice enough to look at inside the hotel.

Extremely disappointed. We did not get what we paid for. We were in a “Marina” view room. Well if we put our heads against the glass and looked far to the right with our faces smashing the window then maybe we could see a bit. A huge tree blocks the entire view.
When we complained all they wanted to do was argue and explain we are in a Marina View room. I said call it what you want but come up here and see for yourself. They would not do it, did not care and did nothing but give us a small voucher to their lousy coffee shop. Staff was not helpful or friendly at all
Also the bathroom shower floods like crazy because of a bad seal. Again no one cared.

Our stay here was good overall. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Our air condition worked very well. The room and bathroom were clean. The free shuttle to and from the airport was very convenient. However, it is a 15min walk across the bridge to get to the train. And there was only one elevator in operation at the time so it was a bit inconvenient there too. There’s no pool sadly, but there is a spacious gym with a nice view. Food was delicious, but service can be a bit slow when busy. Cafe opens every morning for morning coffee. We had all our basic necessities covered and we were comfortable.

Good location of this hotel. It’s close to metro which is easy to use.
Their 2 elevators out of 3 were out of service. No coffee store … was shut down due to renovation.
Safe area as well. Good price for Vancouver.

At it took four tries to finally get into my room due to a faulty door lock. Only one of three elevators were working, making for long waits. Towels were clean but tattered. AC ran loudly and did not work, super hot room all night. Staff was top notch and did their best but property is not maintained by owners. Low quality for a high price.
