Bahia Principe Luxury Ambar - Adults Only - All Inclusive

This to me is not a 5 star hotel. The hotel rooms are not well kept. My fridge in my room didn’t work. The fridge was never fully stocked after each room clean. The overall room was not worth the amount I paid. I won’t be coming back to a Bahía resort. If you’re looking for a. 5 star luxury resort for similar cost, stay at the excellence. The food, service, rooms, and overall experience is way better.

I was a really nice experience. The staff are welcoming and nice all the time. The best restaurant is Meat, food quality and services was in the top of the others restaurants. Definitely we planning to go back!

The service was excellent!

We stayed for one week at the Ambar, first time at a Bahia Príncipe and would definitely book again. The beach is beautiful, clean and well kept up. I am a beach bum so this was really important over the pool. Plenty of chairs available no matter what time of day (even though people do come out super early and mark there spots) The only bothersome that you will get everywhere you go, is the endless amount of approaches of trying to sell excursions & things to do. Be sure to book your dinner reservations well in advanced, we were only able to book 3 dinner reservations during our time that were available. We did not mind dining at the Buffet, there are so many options and they do switch it up everyday. The food is as good as it can get for all inclusive! We were well satisfied, ate and drank everything and we had no sickness issues. The Meat & the Hibachi Restaurants were our favorite restaurants, but we did not get to try any of the other dining options. The staff is super fun and energetic, they are always happy to see you and ensure you are having a good time. The rooms were clean and updated. Evening entertainment is okay. This was adults only and it’s definitely geared toward an older crowd. I am 37 and was one of the few in that age group, the general crowd range was in there late 40’s -60’s. Overall good, fun experience and would book another location with a Bahía Príncipe resort.

I loved my stay. The staff was friendly and helpful with any want or need. I would definitely recommend and I will be back.

We loved our stay here, especially if you are coming for relaxation. You don't need to do a single thing, staff is very kind and helpful and grab drinks for you whenever you ask. The only qualm I had was odd hours for the buffet, but there are many places to eat at if you cannot access the main buffet.

I have a very long review that won't fit here. However, to sum it up - I do not consider this to be a luxury resort. Room - Room was large and comfortable - very nice. Shower is in the open and the toilet area is an amphitheater that everyone, even outside the room, can hear. Food - I have SO many details. Out of all of the all-inclusive resorts that we've stayed in, we've never had so much low-quality tasting food. Almost all the cheese had no flavor, meats were dry, food wasn't labeled or mislabeled in a lot of cases. This is a big part of vacation, and not one thing stood out as amazing. Omelets were good though. Strawberry ice cream tasted like bubble gum - what?! Maiko hibachi was the best food experience at the resort because they use the traditional sauces. Staff - most are friendly, but some really drag it down. A bartender at the pool - our first time in the pool - slammed our drinks down at the edge of the bar where we had to really reach to get. Housekeeping was awesome. Excursions (Going2) - Luz and Ramon were awesome! The buggy tour was SO much fun. The party boat was OK, but not near as good. Privilege club - Aggressive tactics to sell you a membership. They will tell you that they get 'points' that get them paid. Shopping - ridiculous prices on some things. Sunblock = $30 USD. Conclusion - I left A LOT out to fit (some ridiculous). Just know there are other places that give so much more for less $$. This place did not live up to the reviews we read.

Very beautiful resort with a great location along the ocean! The food was amazing at the various restaurants that were available as well as the buffet. Highly recommend this resort!

Room service had very limited options but food was good and service was impeccable!! The hotel is older but the staff makes every effort to keep the facilities clean and “refreshed”. The atmosphere is very relaxed and laid back with an older/mature crowd. Pool was fantastic and beach was lovely; however, there was a lot of seaweed when I was there last week. The hotel staff was super friendly and ran the hotel with great efficiency. I enjoyed my stay and would visit again. Just remember to bring money for tips… it’s not asked for…but definitely expected and they deserve every one!! Hardest working people I’ve seen.

Overall a good experience. Food could’ve been better and noise levels in the rooms were loud.

The Property and landscaping is beautifully maintained.
