Serenade Punta Cana Beach & Spa Resort - All Inclusive

Our door was unlocked the entire day and they did not make it a priority. The food was not very tasty and the staff could be rude at times.

Not a hotel that I would recommend. The people that work there were very friendly but I spent 3 days without shampoo and shower gel. The bath towels are supposed to be white but they are grey not because they are grey, just because the way they cleaned it they still look dirty. The drinks are the worst. You are not going to get decent drink. I was not expecting the best ones but at least a decent drink, they taste awful. The restaurants were good the food at the restaurants was good and the buffet at dinner time was a better than breakfast. The buffet at breakfast time was horrible. Not one real juice, everything tasted so weird. Breakfast was horrible.

The room was very nice and spacious. The buffet food could use some mire variety, food was average.

The property appeared to be only at 2/3 occupancy and we never had a problem finding a lounger near the pool or on the beach. Even though there was a fair amount of seaweed on the beach it was neatly piled and the resort had a boom which kept a lot more away from the beach. It had a great sandbar that you could walk out to and the water was only shallow. The al la carte restaurants were very good except for the steakhouse as the chef didn’t know how to cook a well done steak to my wife’s liking. It would’ve been more enjoyable if the a la carte restaurants had A/C The resort put on some enjoyable evening entertainment and a very good Beach Party with a music mix that you would hear played back in a Canadian disco The constant attempts to get you to buy a time share at the start of our vacation became wearing until the regulars realized that we were DEFINITELY NOT interested and left us alone. Don’t fall for the line of a gourmet breakfast as it’s 3 hrs you’ll not get back from your day as it’s a way to get you to listen to a salesperson selling time share. We had fallen for it once on a previous trip and said never again.

Rooms were very nice, beach was super dis-satisfying. However, the pools were very enjoyable. Lots of seating space around pools and eating areas. Entertainment was decent. Lots of maintenance and cleaning was happening during visit. The people were not friendly and could be a little more pleasant. The food was alright I did enjoy the pre book restaurants more than buffet. A little light on the alcoholic drinks too.

The property is beautiful aesthetically however our room was much to be desired. Not sure if it’s because we booked through Expedia and not direct, the room was not great. You could see spackle in the bathroom and it looked unfinished. Towels were rough and dingy. No wash clothes or face towels and not enough for three people in a room. A double bed room has a window view into the shower which did not work for our teenager. Someone always had to step out onto the patio while another showered. Probably works better in a king room. Our swim out pool faced construction on a new building so while the noise was annoying, the workers staring over at us and my teen was uncomfortable to say the least. In addition some appear to sleep at the construction site as they were present all night. The food at the buffett was not good. Everything was bland. I tasted nothing with Dominican seasoning. As a New Yorker I know very well how the food should taste and was disappointed. Reservations were hard to get at restaurants but the steakhouse was bearable. Hibachi dinner was ok. The spa is under construction but we did a couples massage which was nice but should have been dimly lit instead of bright lights and a towel over our eyes. Worst experience was getting roped into a “time share” presentation. What I thought was hospitality turned out to be two hours taken away to sell us on the “preferred club”. The Michael Jackson show was entertaining. Decent stay but will not return.

The foods at the specialty restaurants were great small portions though wish the portions were bigger. The food at the buffet was not appealing at all. For the most part the staff were okay sometimes slow to assist. My most unfavorable experience was at checkout. During the check in process we were advised that if we lost the band that was given it would be a $150 replacement fee. What that fee covered was never explained also it needs to be indicated to the guest that at checkout that same band needs to be returned. I took mine off yes I had it with me, but if I hadn’t you would have charged me $150 for what?? Again, I’m still waiting for an answer why. The band was removed the night before I checked out still looking for an explanation about this band.

Hotel, grounds, and room are nice not great, no a/c in the theatre but large fans made it tolerable. Very few staff understood English so it made it difficult at times. Rooms are large and clean, but they did not replenish the mini-bar. No bottled water on the property with the exception of a few in the minibar at check in. The specialty restaurants were ok. The buffets are not good. Poor quality and many items are clearly reheated from a previous day. If it freshly cooked it ok. The website states "Gourmet" meals. Not even close. Entertainment was good, the beach was also very nice. All that said, it was just an average experience. But, it's also one of the cheapest all inclusive resorts on the island so you get what you paid for. Serenade is much like an average RIU.

Me encantó este hotel. Solamente no me gustó que cuando quise rentar unos kayak el personal encargado de eso me dijo que no se podía porque el se tenía que ir para su casa( era un domingo a las 3 de la tarde)

Beautiful and peaceful place to relax, the distance from the lobby to the beach is walkable, and enjoyable. Grounds are kept nicely. Staff was friendly and professional.

the lobby and poll areas were beautiful. there were so many flys in the buffet area and no AC. the lobby was also very hot. my swim out had rust on the sides and they did not clean my pool the entire time I was there

Nice rooms but bottom ones had a bad smell in BR ,Food was good But to many Flies because they keep doors open and VIPs had AC DR and no natural juices for mix drinks they use syrup flavors And had to paid for premium drinks like my Fav Gray Goose!!

Was amazing place everything was amazing food, location, areas común, just one lady that she don’t want like serve me I felt like racism but beside that I love that place I would go again 100% recommend
