Bennetts Hotel

Comfortable and friendly staff.

No sign of breakfast available any more. Room clean and a good size, the bed was king size and ok for comfort. We dined at the Agoro restaurant when we arrived at the hotel. The quality and flavour were amazing. It would appear that the right side of the building has been changed into the restaurant as it is independent from the hotel, perhaps that is why breakfast is no longer offered. Parking good.

No hot water to shower, completely cold No heating in room. Room very cold due to weather. No facility to have a basic breakfast. Paid for 2 nights. Left Monday evening due to unbearable cold.

One person at front door when I arrive .The place.looks nothing like what it dose on photos .It has seen better days Bed was clean and comfortable

I like me the bed. It was very comfortable

1st night room was dark, & got migraine trying to work - room had had a dim ceiling light that was buzzing, no working bed light or bathroom light. The basin light worked that I left on to try to get me some light in the room. The shower curtain pole fell down when having a shower. And the only place for my shower produces was on the toilet cistern. The toilet had no toilet seat so had to be careful they did not fall into the toilet. Following morning I complained and said that if these are not fixed today, I would have to move hotels. I returned back and the bedroom ceiling light and shower screen was fixed. Which I could live with. Still no bedside light meaning you had to walk across the room and try to find the light switch if you needed to get up in the night. I overcame this by leaving the bathroom door open where there was natural light. Also bathroom light and toilet seat was not fixed which was not a big problem. The hard, lumpy pillows and bed were not very comfy. Also, no pat testing labels on any electrical items. I would have given this 1 star if they had not fixed the ceiling light and shower screen. Bennetts Hotel has free parking (parking register not working), and pleasant staff and in a great location for me. I didn't had chance to try their restaurant whilst staying there. I will be travelling to Long Eaton every month for the next 2 years, I will not be staying at the Bennetts Hotel again. I might return only to try out their Indian restaurant.

I stayed for 2 nights it only a 20 minute taxi ride to Nottingham centre which is just like home. And we had food 1 night In the restaurant and it was lovely large portions as well. Local pubs cheep and friendly. Perfect if going to the spar which is 3 minutes walk away would stay again.

Staff were friendly and the food was fine. Bed was very low to the ground and the mattresses was worn out. No hot water via tap or shower in the morning even after running either for 5 minutes each. No staff at reception and no time to wait, so left sweaty!

Booked a room to sleep 3 for my teenage daughter and myself, but there was only 1 bed

I stayed here for one night as I was in the area & the rate for the room was cheap enough for me to stay (. £40 for one night with private bathroom). I found the staff very professional, polite & happy to help. I ate in the restaurant also and enjoyed my meal & cooked breakfast the next morning all at a of reasonable price. However the downside to this stay was the condition of the shower in my room. It was not in great condition and basically unusable unless you held it over you with one hand. I found the room pretty cheaply put together & the bed not the best, For the price it was ok for one night but I would not have struggled staying more than one night. Over all I enjoyed my stay.

Seemed to be clean, but otherwise dire. No hot water for a shower either in the evening or morning. Bed was all springs and I resorted to trying to sleep on the pillows. Kettle didnt work. Toilet didnt have a lid. Room next to a staff room and disturbed by people going in and out of that loudly. When I checked out they took my key without a word. Feedback didn't seem welcome.

Brilliant hotel for the price. Excellent service, they even held the kitchen open for 30mins longer so our daughter could eat as she was arriving late. You also get 15% off the lovely food in the restaurant

Our stay here was perfect for what we needed. It was quiet, clean, and the staff were helpful and friendly.

The staff were very friendly and welcoming. Our room was very big. Convenient to town centre.

It was awful. Door or room had been kickrd in, bed & bedding ripped and foos on wall. When i went to look for staff there was no one available. The pictures that are advertised on the website are not what I witnessed.
