Burnside B&B

Absolutely lovely breakfast and super attentive hosts! I came into Keswick via train and bus and it’s very walkable to and from the B&B. No faults at all!

Our stay was fabulous! You chose your main options for breakfast the day before to limit waste, which I loved! I had the full english breakfast which was amazing! Great quality food. My son in law had the vegan breakfast with home made vegan sausages which he said was first class. And my daughter porridge made with almond milk to make it creamy! We even had a choice of home made jams and marmalade with our toast! We were very well looked after. No parking at the property, but on road parking a very short walk away. Highly recommended! Stay here and you will be very well looked after 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Excellent good value B&B. situated a 10-15min within an easy walk into Keswick. Tastefully decorated big bedroom in the traditional victorian style with orginal features. Exceptionally clean and comforable with all facilities required. Breakfast room very pleasant with good variety choice of food well cooked and presented. Sharon the owner is a lovely lovely lady very helpful with local advise and places to go. Would definitely recommend to stay.

We had a relaxing stay at Burnside and would recommend here for a place to stay in Keswick. Great access to the lakes, and Sharon is a fantastic person, and had plenty of local information to share - we could have spoken to her all day. Hopefully we will stay here again in the future!

Highly recommended! Sharon is a lovely lady with a warm and friendly personality. The B&B is decorated to a high standard with lots of William Morris touches in keeping with the style and age of the property. Sharon clearly has very high standards of cleanliness as there wasn't a speck of dust or dirt anywhere, and bedding and towels smelled and felt clean. Breakfast was gorgeous with homemade jams and a wide selection including pancakes and waffles if you're not a full English person. Sharon has obviously thought about every aspect of the customer experience from the moment they come in the door. Could not recommend this place enough; it is a hidden gem!

We were met on arrival and every morning with morning with a cheerful welcome. The high quality breakfast was cooked to order with a good selection being offered. The room was spotlessly clean and comfortable which laid the base for a wonderful stay in Keswick. I would definitely use this B&B again.

Where to start? This is an absolute gem of a find! The room we stayed in was cozy, clean and very comfortable with amazing views. Sharon was simply fabulous,welcoming, helpful, informative and very knowledgeable of the area. The breakfasts were excellent and one of the best B&B breakfasts I’ve had! Sharon really can’t do enough for you. We have already looked at when we can head back!

We stayed for 2 nights. The room was very nice, clean and well decorated. A bit of traffic noise as we faced the road but I had ear buds which solved this issue. The breakfast was substantial and very, very good. The hostess was friendly and helpful and made us very welcome. We will return.

Sharon was super helpful in pointing out places to eat and things to see in the area, She also made us wonderful breakfasts with homemade yogurt. The room was very nice and had interesting decor.

Fantastic stay at this lovely b and b. Sharon is a welcoming and friendly host who gives great information about the local area and also provides a wonderful cooked breakfast. The room had everything needed and bed was very comfortable and the small sofa is a welcome addition.

Sharon is a wonderfully accommodating host, very friendly and professional, and eager to share useful local knowledge. The room was spacious, warm, quiet and comfortable. The breakfast options are variable and delicious. There is on street parking opposite for people with cars, we had no problem parking and the car was visible from our room. We would definitely stay at the Burnside again and can highly recommend it.

A most splendid property & not too far for a little stroll into Keswick, you can also walk around Derwant water if your feeling fit, property itself was lovely with a warm freindly host to welcome you when you arrive, breakfast was amazing which set you up for the day. We shall be definitely visiting again. Thank you.

We stayed at Burnside for three nights. We had a lovely breakfast each morning, with wonderful homemade vegetarian sausage,marmalade and jam. The host Sharon was very helpful with lots of local knowledge. Our room was clean and spacious with a very comfy bed. Enjoyed having a sofa in the room to sit on. Walkable distance from B&B to Keswick via old Threlkeld railway line.

Couldn't find fault with Burnside. Lovely room, wonderful breakfasts and great host. On outskirts of Keswick, but pleasant walk to town centre along old railway track.
