Just a one night stay to visit relatives but will definitely eat at the hotel on our next visit. Great staff, very friendly and helpful in check-in and also when checking out, huge room with hairdryer, iron etc and tea & coffee. Would definitely recommend.

Easy access to town centre. ideal bolt hole whilst my bathroom was being renovated. It was a shame there is a loose manhole on the main road outside my room.

Always stay here when working in Taunton. Good facilities… nice rooms. Good breakfast and only a short walk into town centre

This was an old building which requires refreshing. The ceiling in our en-suite was mouldy, the WC needed bleaching and the paintwork in the corridors was grubby. Our bedlinen was spotless however and the towels were soft and fluffy.

Very good. Quirky old building but modernised interior - really nice feel. Very friendly staff. Didn’t eat/drink but menu and bar looked very impressive. Be warned, car park very tight exit, you’ll struggle not to transfer paint to the brick walls in a pick up/van. My 7 seater just made it out!

All very good with friendly and helpful staff. Just a 5 to 7 minute walk into town and only £5 per night for their own car park.

Couldn’t fault anything - room, bathroom, bed - everything was as you would expect but don’t always get. Even a fridge! We didn’t find the fridge as we’ve never had a hotel room with a fridge so wasn’t even looking for one! And the milk (fresh) was in it but we made do with black coffee 😄😄

Just needed an overnight stay before an early morning appointment at Musgrove Park Hospital.
This was a beautifully kept property, and so convenient for both the Hospital and for Taunton town centre.
I am in a wheelchair, and although there was not a wheelchair accessible room available (it had already been booked), the staff found me a wonderful ground floor room that was totally suitable for my needs.
The room was warm and comfortable, and exactly what I was looking for.
I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again if I was looking for another overnight stay in the town.

Bedroom was dated, bathroom was very dated and there was mould on the walls, bed was comfortable and we slept well although there were some blood spots on the duvet. Overall this a a restaurant with rooms as opposed to truly being a hotel.

I like the style and design of hotel, safe parking( its a shame that you have to pay) decor in bedroom 10 .needs attention to walls and ceiling, stains on carpet, loose toilet seat and stains on seat catches to toilet pan, ill fitting windows and drafty. But excellent heating warm. Reception ok. on check-in not very welcoming lack of conversation. I chose this hotel as my Daughter had stayed here.
