Kings Cross Inn Hotel

Hotel was generally clean and comfortable. The lid/seat on the toilet was loose but quickly fixed when I mentioned it to the staff. The room was extremely noisy due to the local traffic and the fact that there was a full pane of glass missing from the sash window. The window did have another sliding window on the inside but didn’t prevent the traffic noise.

The area is convenient for transportation but the room we were initially put in stunk of mildew and sewage, there was evident water damage throughout both the bathroom and sleeping area. The second room was an improvement, however, the bathroom still smelled absolutely horrible, the beds were mostly springs, the air conditioning didn’t work and made a horrible noise. The towels had holes in them and were stained, stains were also on the bedsheets. Additionally, the doors struggled to open, every single time, you’d have to scan the key card multiple times and yank, MULTIPLE times just for it to open. We had a few decent interactions with staff, the gent who changed our rooms was very kind and sympathetic.

Das Hotel ist in die Jahre gekommen, es ist abgenützt, aber das Zimmer war sauber. Das Personal sehr freundlich. Unser Zimmer roch leider sehr übel nach Kanalabgasen! Die Lage ist super.

Mold smelling room, the worst service, too old building

Nicht zu empfehlen. Not recommended. Very old , it smells bad. The bathromm is very old and defect . It is too much loud . The doors are loud and very old. Will never come back again .

It was ok for what we wanted but beds not good tea and coffee not replenished when we got back so had to ask, someone above walking,around sounded like a baby elephant,,, so woken up

Es war ok, mehr aber auch nicht, das Zimmer für 3 Personen deutlich zu klein. Die Dusche war auch nicht gut, es gab keine Handbrause.

Excellent. but the rooms are small and narrow

Our first room the bathroom door hit the bed and the air conditioning was nonexistent. The second room was acceptable but the bed had seen better days.

Very small hallways and many many stairs. Even if you use the elevator you have to use stairs as well. Room was very tight. A/C available and windows opened. Only stayed one night as we were taking the train out first thing in the morning. Close to the train station.

Front desk person was very friendly. The hallways were hard to maneuverer due to dirty linens and cleaning products being strewn about and I almost tripped trying to get down the steps with my luggage, but other than that, it was great.

great location across the street from the train station. the ac only worked when you had the key in the slot in the room and you’re only allowed 1 key per room, which in englands heat wave after walking for 10 hours roundly went to come back to a boiling room. The towels also had a strange smell and the room smelled musty. The room was huge for a european hotel and was walkable. overall a good stay, just the ac wasn’t working to well even when we were in the room and only allowed to be turned down to 19.

Transport access good with some fair options for Food

Geçen kalıştaki eksikliklerin giderebileceğini düşünmüştüm.Duş kullanımı çok zor sadece tepeden akıyor .Ayarlanabilen bir el duşu ile değişimi çok zor olmamalı.Havlu el yüz vücut tek kullanım hoş değil.Üç kişilik odada kaldık yataklar çok dar. Asansör var ama odalara ve asansöre erişimde mutlaka merdiven inip çıkılıyor özellikle engel sorunu olanlar için uygun değil. Konum için tercih edilebilir.

The location was great, but the hairdryer was really old and dirty. There was a lift, but you had to carry your luggage up one floor to get to it. If you were on a higher floor, there was no lift on the fourth floor. This hotel is not a good option if you're carrying a lot of heavy luggage.

Terrible Experience – Would Not Recommend This was the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. The first room we were given was full of large flies, so we had to request a room change. The second room was in the basement and the hallway smelled strongly of urine. We felt unsafe in the room and decided to leave. We forfeited the charge for the next night and booked another hotel instead. Definitely not worth the money or stress.

The publicity pictures are deceiving. The room is much smaller than it appears. They stacked the beds as if it was a Tetris Game. It was impossible to move around or to set our bagagge. There was a piece of corn on the floor when we arrived (yes, corn), the towells didn’t smell good, the WC brush was dirty, and in general the room needs a lot of maintenance. The stairways are a real maze, so good luck moving your bags around. The only good thing is that the Hotel is within a walking distance from the train and subway stations.

Unfriendly person behind desk. Rather noisy place. Bathroom superficially clean but otherwise the cleaning lady might be the best employee in this hotel. August 2025 construction site opposite- windows only hard to open or close. Room was extremely small. Corridor with steps up and down. Cost were ok for London, but in relation to the quality rather high. I wouldn't choose it again.

Had the worst experience here. It’s not worth it. I arrived around midnight with a large suitcase and two carry-ons, only to be assigned a room on the top floor (4th floor). They claimed there was an elevator, but to reach it you first have to go down one flight of steep, awkward stairs. The elevator itself only goes to the 3rd floor, and from there it’s another three sets of stairs to reach the 4th floor. After I struggled and nearly fell getting to the elevator, the front desk finally offered to help with my luggage. During a heatwave (Aug 11 & 12, 2025), the air conditioning didn’t work at all—it blew hot air like a heating system. I couldn’t sleep the entire night. I filed a complaint at 7 a.m. on Aug 12, but when I returned at 10 p.m., nothing had been fixed. I asked to check out early and requested a refund, as I had paid for an air-conditioned room, but they refused. I do have sympathy for the young man at the front desk, who worked long hours and seemed inexperienced in handling these situations. Unfortunately, this reflects poor management rather than his fault. I would never stay here again and cannot recommend it to anyone—bad management and poor service.
