Nice Pub with nice hotel inside but not connected.

Reception is in the nearby pub which is separate from the accommodation building. This could have been made clearer (there were some signs on entering the car park, however the next person to check in after me also missed those). I paid £20 for a late check out and originally this was only a 1 hour extension, however the lady on reception advised she could extend this to 2 hours on this occasion. It wasn’t clear when booking the late check out that it wasn’t buying much more time so that could be improved. My room was very spacious and clean, and it had everything I needed (kettle, hairdryer, plenty of hanging space for clothes, decent air conditioning). It was on the road side of the hotel, and there was some road noise but it didn’t affect my sleep. The walls were thin and I could hear people moving around in the adjoining rooms and rooms above, but again this wasn’t extreme. I would consider staying here again.

The accommodation was excellent. Remind me a bit like premier inn. Beds large and comfy. Very clean rooms and bath. Shower was super. No biscuits. Mention to staff member and gave me a whole pack of digestives. Great stay and great food. A definite return

For the price bracket I expected a bit more considering breakfast wasn’t included. I don’t drink tea or coffee and there wasn’t any bottles of water in the room, 2 glasses but no water.. No welcome pack and no timings for breakfast if you decided to have it on the morning like we did. Beds and bedding were nice and cosy.

Very convenient good value hotel just a 20min walk from Ipswich Town centre.

Bodde 4 netter på Mermaid i forbindelse med påsketur til Ipswich. Ankom byen med tog og gikk fra stasjonen opp til hotellet, ca. 20 min å gå. Veldig koselig hotell! Innsjekk i resepsjonen i puben, men rommene er i eget bygg 50 meter bortenfor. Utmerket pub, bar og lounge med godt utvalg i mat og drikke. Veldig trivelig familie-spisested med mulighet for å se sport på storskjermer. Rommet (dobbeltrom) var stort og helt greit med bad med badekar! Det var noe trafikkstøy fra veien rett utenfor, men ikke plagsomt. Stille og rolig, hørte nesten ikke en lyd fra andre på hotellet. Godt utvalg til froksot og den klassiske engelske frokosten var utmerket! Buss nr. 15 stopper rett bortenfor hotellet og tar deg til sentrum på et blunk. Det er heller ikke mer enn ca 20 min å gå inn til sentrum. Flere kjøpesentre like ved og en stor Gym er nærmeste nabo. Alt i alt et meget hyggelig opphold!

Lovely photo great staff in a brill place for football and town

The sink was blocked and had hair in the sink, for the price the room was very basic. The service for breakfast was good the gentleman was friendly and very helpful.
