We spent 3 nights in Room 1. It was very cosy and quite peaceful. We had a scruffy 4 poster bed which was a sort of 'treat." The breakfasts were fine. The company was fine. Staff were very accommodating and could give us local knowledge tips and recommendations. The room was clean. The en suite was ideal. It had a bath and we only have a shower at home..so another "treat." Everything was fine. The hotel is a bit past its best but who cares? The outside area looked nice too.

We had a very warm welcome, and enjoyed The splendid hospitality throughout our stay. The food was excellent, they drinks were amazing and the location is spot on.

Lovely room and very good size. Comfortable mattress and pillow.

All was fine until I tried to go to sleep. There was a quizz night followed by another game. Then loud music continued until after midnight. I understand that this was not from the hotel itself.
Also other loud noises came from the water system and the kitchen.
Perhaps I was just unlucky, but a very poor night's sleep is a major negative!

A lovely Inn to stay in historic Hathersage. Small car park that made parking a little tricky at times. Pleasant room overlooking the car park. Bed a little uncomfortable but not a problem. Excellent food and drink in the pub. Breakfast time is limited to 8:30 to 9:30 although they did a slightly later breakfast for us on the Saturday so that my wife could do the nearby parkrun.

Surreal surroundings, little river next to the hotel making a very nice soundtrack, very characteristic decor, with fireplaces, christmas feeling and good food in their pub

Stayed here for one night, staff was extremely pleasant & helpful! We were running late and called for a late check in which was graciously awarded. Despite being above a pub, the noise level was moderate to none! A huge benefit for dinner plans was that we could walk downstairs and enjoy a pint. Fish and chips were divine, as well as the vegetarian Wellington!
