The Croft Hotel

The room was clean, towels and linens of decent quality. There was some mould around the shower tray. The room wasn’t anything outstanding for the price. The breakfast was average, there didn’t seem to be enough staff to clear tables and serve which lead to a long wait for hot drinks and food. The buffet cold items and juice were slow to be topped up. Staff were polite.

An excellent stay in a beautiful venue, the receptionist was simply outstanding in every way, engaging, professional, funny, and couldn't do enough for you, a terrific advert for the hotel and one of the main reasons we'll be going back soon

Decent hotel, thought it needed some modernisation considering it’s a 4 star hotel. The front desk was nearly empty most of the time, so need to go and search for people when I needed help.

There was an issue with my original room, nothing major. I was happy for it to be rectified but the check in staff immediately moved me to better room. All the staff were friendly and accommodating. Food was very good, both dinner and breakfast. Would stay here again.

When I arrived at 8pm after a long journey, I was advised by reception that the kitchen woudl be open until 9:15pm. Unfortunately this was not the case and it closed at 8pm which meant that I could not have dinner, although I was offered a packet of crisps! The room was clean, but the net curtains were torn. Breakfast was nice, but overall the stay was not as enjoyable as it could have been.

Our room was 23. Very noisy. We paid quite a bit for the room but felt it wasn’t worth it. The furniture was dated. No hair dryer in room. The room was in the old part of the hotel. The wedding venue part was beautiful, as was the lobby. There were negatives but overall I would stay here again. Just in a different part of the building

Fridge in the room was a very nice touch.

Staff were helpful room was comfortable and my evening meal and breakfast was very tasty will certainly stay again

The WIFI was not good and could not get connected at all. Made trying to work from a lovely location difficult.

It's a shame that at breakfast when I had eggs benedict which should have muffins they did not have them, and gave me normal buns or burger buns.

The staff where very helpful and made you feel very welcome. Service was fast and the staff were very polite and happy to assist. The room was clean, comfortable and spacious. I would happily stay again.

Nice hotel with parking out at the front. Easy check-in. Room was very clean and looked nice. In some areas it could do with a re-paint and the TV’s could be updated to smart TV so guests could stream their own media but otherwise a well equipped room with everything i needed.

Check in was great, we (me and my hubby), were there for a wedding and they allowed us to check in two hours early as the room was ready, which was a great help to us, to get unpacked and finish getting ready before the ceremony. The staff were friendly, professional and polite. Our room(number1), was delightful, lovely muted green colour scheme, with a very comfortable king size bed resulting in a good nights sleep. There was a nice bathroom with a big shower, just the job! Also provided was an iron and ironing board. For some reason we didn't have a kettle in our room, although the cups and tea and coffee were there, so perhaps an oversite of the domestic staff?We reported it at check out and they made a note of it. We were disappointed not to be able to have our morning tea in our room, as we always do prior to breakfast, but it wasn't a major issue. We had a full 'Classic' cooked breakfast which was lovely, although my yolks on my fried eggs were hard, but then I am particularly fussy over that, ha. I didn't say anything about it though, but I'm sure they would have changed them if I"d asked. We also had two pots of Yorkshire tea, which we thoroughly enjoyed. All in all a fantastic stay and would highly recommend.
