We absolutely enjoyed our time at the Montegue. It’s a wonderful boutique hotel with pleasant rooms, lovely lobby and dining facilities and a great little bar.

I strongly recommend this hotel.

We had researched many hotel options for our trip and decided on the Montague on the Gardens because of its great location and also because of its historic charm. We had also read that the staff provided excellent guest services- this last point was the best part. The hotel is well staffed and filled with super friendly, attentive and helpful staff who consistently provided great service - thank you again!

Prefer a smaller hotel but the location is great.

Zuerst der positive Teil: bemühtes, freundliches Personal! Jedoch ist das Hotel für das was es ist ziemlich überteuert. Es ist doch einiges in die Jahre gekommen (Teppiche, Waschbecken hatte eine riesen Sprung, Klobrille schief auf der Toilette)…Die Einzelzimmer sind derartig klein, dass man stets irgendwo anstösst- vor allem im Bad. Man nutzt wirklich noch die kleinste Kammer um ein Zimmer draus zu machen… im Preis von 280,- £ ist kein Frühstück inbegriffen und auch das ist mit ca. 30£ kein Schnäppchen. Natürlich es ist LONDON, aber ich dachte, ich sei als Schweizerin einiges gewöhnt. Wie gesagt- das Personal ist hilfsbereit, dienstbeflissen und freundlich. Mir ist es allerdings aufgestossen, dass pro Zimmer pro Nacht 15£ Trinkgeldaufschlag auf die Hotelrechnung aufgeschlagen werden. Das sind versteckte Kosten, sowie ein Spendenaufschlag für nicht benannte Projekte… wenn ich Trinkgeld geben oder spenden möchte, dann tue ich das von mir aus… das hinterlässt wirklich ein schales Gefühl - weil man so überhaupt nicht einschätzen kann, was das Personal tatsächlich bekommt… zumindest bei mir hinterlässt diese Praktik einen ziemlich unangenehmen Beigeschmack. Schade, das Hotel liegt gut. Und wie gesagt: die, die dort arbeiten haben das nicht zu verantworten. Insgesamt ok. Aber wahrscheinlich muss man in London damit leben…

Probably the best hotel I’ve ever stayed at! I read that the staff was amazing and wow, they lived up to it! We were there for a girl’s weekend celebrating our daughter’s 9th birthdays. The staff was so attentive and made everyone feel special. After exploring London, we all agreed the location was perfect. It was quiet, yet close to all the action. When in London, this will be our go to hotel. On another not, we did the hotel’s high tea, and it was perfect:) Now back in the states, we can’t stop talking about the amazing hotel we stayed at. We are so grateful for the amazing experience!

The perfect property that lives up to the ratings. The staff is exceptional with every engagement. Open and helpful to a degree that is a lost art. So many suggestions for our trip that were well timed. From check in to Concierge service to guided tour, excellent bar with bar staff, perfect English Breakfast , perfect High Tea, transport arrangements. A posh environment with a relaxed but thoroughly professional staff. Love love loved it! Thank you to all we were helped by during our stay.

The hotel was the perfect combination of classic meets comfort. Th staff was the kindest we’ve experienced. Amie and Chis made the 3 meals we had there so enjoyable. The food was amazing. The drinks were top notch. This was our favorite hotel of the 4 we stayed in on this 10 day trip. We have already discussed coming back.

The rooms are very small for visitors staying for an extended stay.

Beautiful hotel, with the most pleasant staff, no matter what you need with a big smile the staff helps you ! The only down to the hotel that it’s a good long walk to everywhere
