The room had a great view of the sea and beach. Close to great shopping, very walkable area. Easy to get an Uber. Staff are nice but do not go out of their way to assist you. The pool really has no true lounge chairs. The breakfast was quite good but not outstanding.

Stayed in a suite on the 9th floor. The noise from the restaurant patrons and especially employees moving chairs and tables late at night was terrible. I complained to the front desk, spoke with a manager and with the restaurant staff. I asked them not to drag tables across the floor at midnight. Nothing changed. One of our faucets was leaking and the maintenance guy said it would be fixed in the winter (!). Also periodically, there was foul sewer-like smell in the room and on the balcony. $1,600 per night room and we had to deal with all that. The only reason I am not giving it a “1” is that many staff members, especially the maids, were excellent. Very disappointing stay otherwise.

Handle on balcony door broken.
Balcony only wide enough for you stand on. (No chair or table).
Battery on the safe was dead so had to request replacement.
Room regularly not cleaned / made up.
Coffee mugs and water glasses not cleaned / replaced.
Had to request four times for clean mugs by phone and visit reception before they were replaced.
When requested booking a taxi to train station was advised 60€. A taxi in the taxi rank outside of hotel 20€.
Pool only had approximately 12 deck chairs, 6 of those being cramped on the edge of the pool, so you had to squeeze in against the wall in order for people to try and pass without falling in the pool.
Rooftop restaurant very disappointing service. Service very slow. We had received our food before our bottle of wine and we never did receive our water.
Great location, but an extremely expensive hotel for quality of service.

I’m not a picky person, but this hotel is simply not worth the nightly rate. It was my wife’s birthday, yet they gave us a small room next to a storage area. We paid $650–700 per night, but the room looked out onto a dark courtyard, received no sunlight, and felt like a prison. I suppose this was their idea of a gesture. The hotel corridors looked like hospital hallways.
The rooftop menu was very poor, and breakfast was not served on the terrace, even though some reviews had mentioned that it was. The staff were completely uninterested. If you want to pay $700 just to take a picture of the terrace view, go ahead—but I will never return. I will never stay at any Marriott Bonvoy hotel again.
On top of everything, they still haven’t refunded my deposit even though 5 days have passed.

I looked at a number of hotels, we were travelling with 2 children and my mother in law. I’m so glad we chose this hotel. Very clean, friendly , excellent breakfast and really helpful staff.
Location is excellent, across the road from the beach and just a short walk to get a tram to the main station.
Lovely restaurants and bars near by and lots of posh shops if you fancy that.
Would definitely recommend.

It was an enjoyable stay overlooking the bay and getting a taste of Nice before our onward journey
The hotel was busy but the staff was A1 from the friendly doorman to the reception and not to forget the bar staff at reception who kept a watchful eye to serve water even if you hadn't ordered a drink thanks.

Loved the location. Room was great. I would have given 5 stars, but the "downtown view" was really just a view of the building next door and I had expectations of a better view for the huge cost of the room.
