Perfect boutique hotel for transit or even to stay for more nights in Tahiti. My husband and I stayed just for one night and it was very convenient. Walk distance from many restaurants, shops and the market. The ferry station to the other islands is located across the road. The hotel is very clean and equipped with a full kitchen. I would recommend to anyone traveling to Tahiti.

Nils (the Concierge) is exceptionally knowledgeable and passionate about sharing travel ideas and options with clients. Ask him to set you up for an island tour by van with the amazing Ruth! This is an awesome hotel, located right across from the ferry port. Highly recommendable!

Hotel Kon Tiki is in a prime area if you want to walk to town or take a ferry. The have a wonderful restaurant and rooftop bar.
The negative is the noise from the bar on the street level and the follow through with requests. Such as our shampoo and body wash wasn’t working in the shower and asked for clean towels which came late in the evening.
Staff was helpful but some difficulty with English.
All in all I would stay here again!

Really nice hotel with updated rooms and comfortable beds. Great location right across from the ferry terminal and a short taxi ride from the airport. Great amenities with a restaurant & rooftop bar plus a coffee shop right next door.

Very conveniently located just blocks from cruise ship terminal and adjacent to ferry terminals. Check in was smooth and staff helpful. Room was quite large making me question that if it were a hotter day if the A/C would keep up with demand.

From the moment we arrived from our cruise ship at 10:00 a.m.,The front desk agents were so attentive and helpful. We were lucky to get an early check-in at 12 noon.
Our room was quite large and very comfortable. Everything was modern and clean. Electric shades, modern kitchen, excellent coffee maker and huge shower. The room was nicely decorated with the mural of a humpback whale behind behind our bed! So cool!
The restaurant and the REEFTOP bar were beautifully decorated. The bar was open until 1:00 a.m. and they had a fun D.J. who was playing tunes with a live parrot on his shoulder. It was a nice place to go and listen to music and then just take the elevator right back down to our room. Perfect!
There was a nice waiting room on the first floor for those of us who had late night flights.A great amenity was the ability to use a shower. The only thing I found uncomfortable was the lack of air conditioning in the lobby and in the hallways and on the first floor shower room. It was very, very hot. Keep in mind, the hotel does not have a pool and there are no beaches nearby. I found a public municipal swimming pool within walking distance which was awesome. I was able to exercise and lay out and get a little sun. Other than that everything was great! I would stay again and I would definitely recommend this place!

Great location close to bars, restaurants and very close to the port and airport.
The Roof top bar is great only disappointing thing was we were a couple and couldn’t eat there unless there are 8 or more people which it didn’t explain when trying to book online. We did eat at the Reef restaurant on floor 7 which was good and staff very attentive.
It was handy having a coffee bar and food next to reception too. I would definitely stay again.

We would highly recommend this hotel. First off, it is extremely convenient to the port for trips to Moorea. We could also walk to the Papeete Market and a large choice of shops and restaurants.
Our room was huge. We had a very firm bed with wonderful pillows. A small balcony allowed us to sit outside and the kitchenette had refrig, stovetop, coffee maker and utensils.
The large bathroom had a rainfall showerhead and many nice amenities.
Our only issue was our television didn't work. When the front desk sent someone up to check and couldn't repair they offered us a new room. Since we declined changing, instead they have us free breakfast the next morning. Great customer service.

This was our 3rd stay here in 5 weeks between inter-island cruises. 1st stay we had a wonderful room facing the harbour on 8th floor. No comlaints!
2nd stay we had a room at the rear on the 3rd floor, facing the mountains, still good another part of the hotel blocked our vie.
The last stay we were again in the back on the second floor, no view and above the nightclub next door. The music (loud with 'doof doof' base went on till after 4:00am
All rooms themselves were wonderful however

The rooftop bar should be avoided. Service problem blamed on language. I requested some parmesan for the pizza, and got a $10.00 charge slipped onto the bill. When I asked about it, the waitress blamed the charge on the cook, and so I asked the outside cook who quickly blamed it on the waitress. Downstairs restaurant, good experience.
