InterContinental Budapest, an IHG Hotel

We LOVED this hotel. Rarely do we stay in larger hotels in Europe but this hotel was beyond perfect! Great location. Room (#529) faced the Danube and the view was spectacular! Couldn't not have chosen a better spot!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about this hotel!!! Perfect location! Lovely staff. We stayed in room 529 - overlooking the river. The view from our window was like a work of art!!! The room was wonderful. Excellent breakfast buffet. And, trivial I know, the BEST shower ever!!

We stayed on the club level but did not enjoy the club level services as our friends were on regular floors. The breakfast was fantastic but the servers have very little if any english skills so we played charades. The lebonese restaurant was slow and one of our guests was a Celiac (gluten intolerant) and we specifically request an appropriate meal. When they brought our meal it was clearly not gluten free. We questioned the server and he promised it was, we pushed back and the chef came out and said he only used "a little flour and soy". We sent it back and her new meal came long after the rest of the group had eaten. In addition, the bar restaurant servers were very aloof and would only serve us if we asked. We noticed that other european customers got very good service. We are Americans (which was obvious) and we could see a clear bias. We understand that we have a miserable president, but they should not assume that all Americans are stupid. We are in the service industry and would have been very good tippers. Sorry for them.

Location is great - river view room a must. Service was good. But....I booked and paid for a King Bed Room months in advance and I got two queen beds. They mislead me as well on checking in by saying we had two king beds.

The view of the Danube was spectacular. 2 blocks behind the hotel is a fun walking street full of shops, restaurants and a very fun vibe leading to the Market. Perfect location

The Hotel is in desperate need of a major Reno. The rooms are old, with NO modern features - e.g decent room lighting or electrical sockets.. but this aside great location and very good staff (could not fault).

everything nice but have to wait in line to enter restyarant, area small as compared to people and has to wait for sometime for lift to come

Loved our stay at this hotel. Excellent location and view of the River from our window. Staff very friendly and helpful. Couldn’t fault anything, food is excellent too. Would love to return some day.

Outstanding location on the Danube across from the Buda Castle. Excellent restaurant and staff.
