The hotel is very nice. The breakfast was great. It has incredible views but best of all, on my two nights I was able to see some of the best Northern Lights from the parking lot. The hotel is a bit far from other places so that helped a lot to see the northern lights. I would definitely stay at the hotel again. The girls at the reception and the bar were too kind. I give them a 10/10

This was a good hotel to stay at but the food was way overpriced.
The layout of the room was unique. The shoer was in a sperate room from the toilet and sink, which helped 2 people get ready at once. I liked that part.

The rooms we got where so worn down.
In the one room the beds were so uncomfortable.
The floors has marks all over, there is black marks one the walls - the curtains didn’t hang properly on the rack , there was hair in the bed which wasn’t ours, the sealing strip around the connecting doors was lose- and there is a scaffolding and building site outside our windows.
And the escape plan for that room wasn’t correct because of a door block by the builders.
One thing is the neglect of the hotel state - but to risk the health of the guests in case of an emergency is a huge concern.

I’ve requested a clean room with better view. Though no guarantee, how come the reception arranged a room with a metal scaffold outside the window without prior notification & my consent ? I found this when I checked the room. The way out is to get curtain down throughout the stay.
Next morning, workers on the scaffold made peace and quiet gone. Repair is necessary but downgraded my room charging at the same room rate, ridiculous!!
A male staff who looks like the Manager, was rude. He pointed to me to instruct me stop photo taking capturing other guests. Again, ridiculous!! There were so many guests that day, that means no picture or he should help clear the venue for guests who need photo taking?
This hotel was the poorest one in my Iceland trip for 12 night-stay. THE POOREST!

Hotel room was a weird design. The toilet/sink on one side and the shower only on the other side where the office area was. This means you leave your toiletries on one side and take a shower on the other side and walk out in your towel into the office area! It was very cramped for me & my husband and were not large at all. I would not stay here again. Location was nice but had to drive about 15 minutes to eat out. The hotel restaurant had limited selection and average price for entree was about $48 USD.
