Clean, roomy for 3 people. We all have each room. No traffic sound even it is right by the ring rd. No attendant until 3 pm. I had to wait 1/2 hr. I can’t find my room key so we got the next door.
Overall great cottage with pricy, of course.

We had a good stay. It was a convenient place to stop in our trip around the island. The place was quiet. The cottage is a decent size for four people. The bathroom a bit small. Simple kitchen. We just used the microwave. Check-in was in-person at reception and easy. Don’t miss the Fjaðrárgljúfur canyon, only a few minutes drive. One of the most beautiful places you will see in your trip.

It was a quiet little property in a nice setting. Kitchen had everything we needed to cook an easy meal. The rooms are tiny, like we could barely fit our suitcases inside and still have enough room to walk around. One of the beds wasn’t made up downstairs so we had to grab bedding from a different bed in the loft area and move it downstairs to use. Also one of the pillows had blood spots on it which is pretty gross. Other than that everything else seemed clean.

The cottages are similar to what you would have found at original North American cottages years ago. The living space was big enough for a family with some newer furniture. The rooms are small with bunk beds, and barely space for small suitcases. One of the bunks in our room was missing a rung on the ladder which wasn’t the best. The cottages would be good for a couple nights, though beyond that, maybe not.
The highlight of the trip was the darkness which in our case brought a great northern lights display.

The view is amazing set at the foothills of the mountains and close to hwy 1. Rooms are decent. Cottages are modern. Bathrooms clean. Dining is good and pleasant staff.great for stay with little children.

I would not stay here again. The cabins were old and not very well-built. Very creaky! It’s in the middle of nowhere. There was a coffeemaker but no coffee! The place was very cramped for 4 people, no place to put suitcases.
