Sangam Hotel in Thanjavur

Nice place.

Room was clean, spacious. Complimentary breakfast was sumptuous and delicious. Staff was courteous.

The checkin process was horrible (old computers and staff weren’t knowledgeable ) they started demanding extra because my kid was 12 while per Expedia >17 was considered adult the property seemed old I mean carpeting shower and other amenities but food was okay and staff were friendly the pool is too small not usable. Close to the temple and all but I wouldn’t recommend this place to anybody

What a wonderful and confortable stay at Sangam hotel. The pool area was set in a nice garden, perfect to beat Thanjavur Heat. The restaurant was delicious and the breakfast offered a large selection of options. The staff was friendly and really helpful. I had an issue with my taxi that didnt show up and without hesitation one reception staff went above and beyond to sort everything and got me a taxi from the same outstation company. Something that would never happen in Europe. Highly recomendable to visit the Big temple, dont miss It very early morning and at sunset, It is breathtaking.

Hotel décent, peut-être un peu cher pour ce qui est offert. Les salles de bain devraient etre rénovées. On s'attendait à mieux pour un hotel de cette chaîne a ce prix.

Overall not a great experience. When ee arrived the restuarant was given to a function and we had to eat in a small place. The staffing was inadequate. I had to request for an extra bed 3 times and finaly go to the reception to ask and wait and get it. Not properly managed. Food waa average. Overll not worth the cost.

There is not a lot of choice in Tanjore and this is probably the best of a poor bunch.Staff try hard. restauant is well below parr.Location is good and parking on site

The property was at par with any hotels in the US. They had a good spread of Indian and continental breakfast options for the breakfast buffet. The hotel was clean, well maintained.

Check-in was super-efficient and in-room dining was good too. Breakfast was filling and nicely prepared. Dinner selection with phulka and yellow lentil was tasty. Check out took a bit of time as people were jumping queues. Memorable stay at Hotel Sangham, Thanjavur.

The room allotted for us was not smelling good. Kind of old smoking room feeling. Front desk showed alternate room which was good but only having twin bed.

Great place to stay. very happy with the rooms , would stay here again.

Grande chambre propre mais vieillotte. Piscine : chemin accès peu avenant, les transats au nombre de 3 et sans parasols, difficulté pour avoir des essuies, eau trouble, abords pas entretenus. La piscine donne sur l arrière de la cuisine avec vue sur de nombreux encombrants. Nourriture : déjeuner type continental moyen et peu de choix. Repas du soir : poulet pas cuit et ensuite trop cuit (qui nous a quand même été facturé). Hôtel : prix excessif pour ce qu il offre

We spent 2 nights at this hotel and overall it was a very negative experience. On check in our room was dirty as the bathroom had not been cleaned properly. Everything about the hotel is extremely dated, in need of repair and the property desperately needs a complete makeover. We were unfortunately involved in an incident whilst staying there whereby a fellow guest launched a completely unprovoked verbal assault upon us, I shall not repeat the names we were called but it was an extremely upsetting experience. I reported this immediately to the management of the hotel who told me that the guest in question was a regular and long staying guest which as far as any civilised person would be concerned is absolutely irrelevant. They stated that they would speak to the assailant and come right back to me. I waited for 12 hours for a response from the general manager during which time all of my calls to him were ignored. Eventually he stated that the guest had admitted the assault but offered no genuine apology or any form of a gesture to put this matter right. I had to argue with him before he very reluctantly agreed to waive the charges for dinner I had taken in the hotel. I travel extensively and spend more than 200 nights each year in hotels. I have never in my life come across such an incompetent and ineffective hotel management team in my life. These people are concerned only with money and know absolutely nothing about hospitality or good customer service. Avoid this hotel.

Wonderful dining and staff! The manager of the restaurant was extremely helpful and attentive to my dietary needs. Cannot day enough about his hospitality. All of the staff at Sangam are dedicated to providing the best service possible.
