Long Quay House

We loved our stay at Long Quay House! Wonderful host and accommodations!

For the money, the room was small, the breakfast was meager, and no private parking. We traveled around Ireland and found this stay the most dollars for the least worth. However, the staff was delightful and the location ideal. Kinsale is really magical and definitely recommend.

Central location and delicious breakfast

The property itself is in a good location, but they have NO parking near the property. Not even to pay for. We were told absolutely no early check in or dropping our bags off because owner/manager feels his staff cannot get job done right if he does. He told us to drive a quarter mile away and wait for a spot to open up (took 20 minutes). He tells you can park across the street if you can find a space (you cannot after 11 AM) and if you it is only 2 hours. For US $450 a night that is unacceptable. It is not a 4 star hotel, more of a glorified B&B. The breakfast if very good and rooms are clean and good sized. Just not acceptable on the parking.

Wonderful family-run place, just a block from the heart of the village so easier to park etc. Solid breakfast served quickly. Do the Scilly walk!

Wonderful room. Ran by a family. They only check you in , show you to your room and check you out. They will not make reservations at restaurant s or tours .

The staff was welcoming. The hotel room was very basic. No air conditioning though so we had to open the windows. Very noisy outside until about 1:30 am. Bed was a full size so my husband and I had to cozy up. A little too small for us and we are not big people. The location was great. I don’t think it was worth the price.

This is a great place to stay. It's very clean, has spacious rooms, very comfortable bed, and very friendly, kind, and helpful staff. The breakfast was absolutely delicious and plentiful. You can tell it's a family owned business as they take great pride in the quality of their business and the services they provide. We'd happily stay there again and recommend it to others!

Perfect location in a perfect town.

Well kept room and comfortable bed. Owner and staff were kind and helpful. The hotel is in town with a parking lot across the street. The breakfast was fantastic - my favorite on our Ireland trip!
