Really nice team, very welcoming, professional and generally helpful and courteous. Good English spoken, great Montecasino memorabilia throughout the hotel, with really interesting local knowledge.

There is frequent curbside parking for free. A ton of restaurants, pizzarias, and gelaterias in walking distance. The staff is prompt, courteous, and speaks English. Be forewarned, you need a reservation (prenotazione) for most sit down dining establishments. This hotel also has a lot of books and historic artifacts relating to the 1944 battle for the town and abbey.

quando siamo arrivati la stanza era caldissima e nonostante avessimo lasciato l'aria condizionata accesa il tempo della cena al nostro ritorno era ancora molto caldo e abbiamo dovuto lasciarla accesa durante la notte. suggerisco, almeno per le prenotazioni, di fare trovare la stanza climatizzata.

The best part of staying at La Pace was that Pino (owner) is also the most knowledgeable person in Cassino about the critical significance of the WW II Montecassino battles. He was our guide for a whole day telling us stories and showing us hidden places along an amazing hike where we got to see many Polish historic places. We highly recommend staying here and meeting Pino.
