Hyggelig lille lejlighed lige i hjertet af Matera. Fin morgenmad, som man selv skulle anrette, men der manglede en lille gryde så man kunne koge et æg Sengen meget hård

The front desk was wonderful, the apartment was spacious, there were all sorts of snacks stocked up for us to eat, its in a wonderful location.

O espaço do chuveiro para tomar banho é minúsculo. A forma como é oferecido o café da manhã é horrível. Disponibilizam alguns itens no quarto (muito pão e torrada e pouco queijo e presunto e nada de ovos) e você deve preparar o café, esquentar o leite no fogão. Não é prático e deixa muito a desejar. Não voltarei a ter essa experiência.

Das Hotel besteht aus mehreren verteilten Zimmern direkt in den Sassi - eine richtig authentische Unterkunft für Matera und eine lohnenswerte Erfahrung! Der Zugang zu den einzelnen Suiten erfolgt über Treppen und Wegen durch die Sassi - leichtes Gepäck ist daher sehr zu empfehlen. Wir wurden darüber im Vorfeld von den Gastgebern informiert und konnten so umpacken, dass wir nur einen leichten Koffer für die zwei Nächte mitnehmen mussten. Zum Parken erhielten wir ebenfalls eine kurze Information auf Anfrage an das Hotel - wir entschieden uns für eine Parkgarage (25 Euro pro Nacht), da wir unser gesamtes restliches Gepäck im Auto ließen, es gäbe aber auch eine günstigere Variante mit Shuttle. Das Frühstück wird im Hotel San Giorgio so gelöst, dass man in der kleinen Küche der Suite alles Nötige bereitgestellt hat - es wurde uns sogar erklärt, wie man Mokka mit der Mokkakanne kocht - zubereiten musste man das Frühstück dann selbst nach Lust und Laune. Großes Plus: zu jeder Suite gehört ein Tisch im Freien - so kann man da gemütlich den Kaffee trinken oder auch ein mitgebrachtes Essen verzehren. Alle Sehenswürdigkeiten sind in wenigen Minuten erreicht. Tolle Lage, tolles Personal, eine wirklich tolle Erfahrung mit besonderer Atmosphäre! Absolute Empfehlung von und!!!

Mitten in der Sassi, alles gut zu Fuß erreichbar. Sehr netter Empfang, tolles großes Zimmer mit direktem Blick in ein kleines Höhlenmuseum. Jederzeit gerne wieder!

Localização perfeita. Na rua do hotel excelentes restaurantes. Recepção foi maravilhosa e nos ajudou com o que precisávamos. Voltaria com certeza, ficamos no apto e me sentia em casa literalmente.

Pier Luigi helped us with everything including changing a transfer last minute. He was fantastic!

We stayed in one of the cave rooms- clean, quiet. A good selection of food for breakfast choices in our room- topped up daily. A fascinating old quaint town. I did the walk to one of the caves across the valley which was hard work but interesting. Lots of good restaurants nearby . Recommend this Hotel.

Everything was excellent! Breakfast items were already in our room and the refrigerator was stocked! The only issue one might have is getting your luggage to and from your room. We were lucky enough to have Luigi help us with our luggage because it wasn’t too busy. If you have to do it yourself, lots of rocky steps. You can’t roll your bags, you have to lift it. Luigi was extremely helpful along with the other staff!! Highly recommend this hotel!

The cave rooms were fantastic and the staff was the nicest we encountered during our entire trip.

The host at reception gave us a brief tour and explained the city to us. Our room was stocked so we could simply have breakfast there. Also the Lucany restaurant beside our place was amazing. Highly recommend

Matera is a very special place. It is difficult to find another city in the world with a landscape like this. Staying in the Sassi, the old cave houses, is something you really should do to enjoy the full experience. I stayed at San Giorgio Hotel, and it was exactly what I hoped for. It was a special experience, something I will always remember. I really recommend it to anyone who wants to try this kind of stay. The staff were very friendly, the atmosphere felt real and traditional, and the room was big and comfortable. Everything made me feel like I was living a dream.

Beautiful room in a cave with independent entrance. Touristic but also quiet location. The access is a bit complicated if carrying bags. Great service and breakfast in the room. I would recommend to friends and family.
