Hotel Villino Gallodoro

Cute boutique hotel. Our room had a beautiful balcony view of the ocean. We were able to check in early, and the manager was very helpful with information about how to get from the train station to the hotel. Breakfast and other meals are available at the hotel. There is a lovely indoor area and two out door spaces to eat.

La chambre était propre, néanmoins le revêtement du plafond tombait en lambeau à certains endroits et de nombreux morceaux se sont retrouvés sur le lit. Concernant la salle de bain, de la moisissure était présente en grande quantité dans la douche.

Unica nota positiva il personale molto gentile e professionale !

Ontbijt was erg matig, zelfde als avondeten erg duur voor matig eten.

Seaside views right at your door. Clean and efficient accommodation, housekeeping, staff came and visited every day without prompting. The room was comfortable and easy access to the restaurant which had commanding views over the sea. Staff were friendly and accommodating always. Hard-working and diligent.

The room was clean and comfortable. The WiFi was intermittent unless you were outside or close to the restaurant. The buffet breakfast was delicious and full of a variety of pastries and regional items. The view from where we ate our breakfast was one of a kind. Within a 2-3 minute walk we were at the Car Lift to take us to the top of Taormina. We were within walking distance to 3 beaches. Also the Restaurant associated with the Hotel has delicious food. So if you are in need of a late dinner or snack make sure to ask for a table or take it back to your room, either way it's a must try.

My skin felt like it was crawling every time I walked in the room The bathroom walls were filthy you could see the dirt dripping on the walls the towels were stained the paint on top of the bathroom tile was peeling there were bugs it was not a pleasant experience the restaurant staff was nice if the other hotel wasn’t built in front of their terrace the view would’ve been nice too but they need a deep cleaning and update not worth the money at least now that we’ve been we know where to stay in the future we thought stayingclosertonthenbeach was the answer but it’s better to stay closer to town and take an uber out to the beach once since it costs 30€ each time you order one

Pour un hôtel 1 étoile, j’ai été très agréablement surprise. La chambre était propre, bien équipée et surtout située en bord de mer, ce qui est un vrai plus à Taormina. L’accueil était sympathique et le rapport qualité-prix excellent. Je recommande cet hôtel à ceux qui cherchent un séjour simple, calme et authentique.

Et charmerende hotel med en fantastisk udsigt over Middelhavet. Værelset var fint og service god. I hotellets udendørs restaurant var der imidlertid en ubehagelig høj støj fra biler, gæster mv.

Beautiful area, great breakfast

Great experience. This is a good place to start discovering Taormina. Very clean, great sun rise spot and close to the beach. Beds are not that comfortbale.

Ett slitet hotell med en personal som ändå försökte göra det bästa av det. Det var dock en oslagbar utsikt över havet från vår trevliga terrass. Gillar man hotell som ligger ovanpå en järnvägstunnel så är detta ett givet val!

We stayed 2 nights- off season, January. The room (double/sea view) is quite small but the high ceiling made it feel bigger. The TV is rather small (likely 17”). 2 bottles of water were provided along with a few packets of English tea bags. There is a fridge. The air conditioner worked well. The bed is a bit hard but no too uncomfortable. I loved that it is pitch black when all the windows are closed. The shower is made for a small framed person. The towels are not soft but smelled and looked clean. Our room came with a semi private and very nice balcony which opens to a great sea view to catch the beautiful sunrise and sunset. Finding a good place to eat is a 10 minute drive to the town of Taormina. It was a little hair raising experience for me as a passenger seeing the car coming into our lane on the twisty/hairpin turns to the town at night but I would not recommend eating at the hotel’s restaurant; it was one of the worst pizza and pasta I’ve had, here in Italy as well as the US. I think you’re better off stopping at a gas station and pick up food there. Parking is a bit tight even in a compact car. There are 7 spots available but they are made for compact or mini cars. There are 2 staff (at check in and lunch/dinner) we interacted both were very pleasant. I am not surprised that the hotel is rated 1 ⭐️ for its amenities. Conveniently a short walking distance to Isola Bella. It has a lot of potential to be better.

Boa localização. Tinha estacionamento mas pagamos por fora. café da manhã muito bom. O banho não foi muito bom.
