Bahia Principe Grand Jamaica - All Inclusive

Avoid at all costs. Our stay at Bahia Principe Jamaica was a disaster from start to finish. Check-in was chaotic and painfully slow, even after a long travel day with a toddler. Our upgraded room was filthy—torn sheets, stained bedding, unstable furniture, and totally unsafe for a child. The resort is not stroller- or wheelchair-friendly, making it extremely difficult to get around. Despite being "all-inclusive," we were limited to two dinner reservations in six days. The buffets were unsanitary, with flies everywhere and poor food handling. We even saw a waiter hide wine in a flower pot. Staff were rude, unhelpful, and couldn’t answer basic questions. Complaints went nowhere. The resort also sells day passes, leading to overcrowding, trashed pool areas, and constant marijuana smoke. By Day 3, we left early and paid out of pocket to stay elsewhere for the sake of our child’s birthday. Don’t waste your money or your time here. I have so much more to say, but not enough room to share our full disappointment.

The Bahia Principe Grand Jamaica was wonderful. We stayed in a standard room, the room was clean and spacious.The staff were very attentive in the restaurants, and provided recommendations on drinks and food. The food was great, and there were many options. I would recommend booking a la carte restaurants before you arrive, as the reservations fill up. We tried the restaurants Picasso and Takara and both were amazing. The pool and facilities were always clean. There is something to do for everyone.

This hotel is lovely if you get the area where it has been renovated. Unfortunately we were not in this area and the hotel room was fairly average. We did also have some problems with the room including no conditioner in the bathroom, missing half a curtain, being in an adjoining room which meant we heard our noisy neighbours come back late at night, waking us up. It took several attempts at asking to finally get some conditioner and a curtain (into the 3rd day of our stay). After not receiving it on the 4th time of asking, we did do a review on their website which seemed to work as within an hour we had a follow up call regarding it. Unfortunately this follow up call also continued for the next two morning at 7.34am (we hadn't slept late the previous days due to the missing curtain!). It was extremely frustrating. Overall the staff are lovely in the restaurants and bars etc. The food was nice however quickly became very boring as it was the same every day - with a hotel this size it would be nice to change up the food and offer different things each day. The other themed restaurants were lovely, however it was frustrating that we were only allowed to go to three in the course of our 1 week stay as most evenings they didn't even appear half full. The pool and view itself was great, however the renovation of the hotel just lets it done and in my opinion does not match up to the 5* rating. I certainly wouldn't be prepared to pay full price to stay here again.

Hello my recent stay at Bahia Principe Grand Jamaica, was not what I expected. The customer service, cleanliness, and food options all declined significantly. I saw roaches at the Jerk Shack (behind the wall of the grill), our suite had hair in the bathroom, cups, plates, food left in the hallways. This was not the Bahia I experienced just last year during my stay. As always there was some staff that stood out and were very pleasant and helpful Marcell (pool bar) Diana(pool waitress, Remi life guard and David the yoga instructor.

Beautiful resort, staff not the friendliest. Difficult to find your way around at first, the resort is enormous. Would be beneficial to either offer a resort map upon check in, or have on in the room.

Finishings were poor. Bad paint jobs. Patchy concrete work. We were told they upgraded our room however they sent us to a section of the hotel that was due to renovate. Bathroom drain was not secured. Servers/waiters and waitresses Staff were very nice and friendly. Staff behind the counters were talking too much over the food and spit/ saliva was going in the food.

The experience could’ve been better. The transportation was not the greatest however, the staff and the friendliness of the people was exceptional.

Great resort! Very friendly and helpful staff. Rooms could use and upgrade and the room television is trash! 32 inch at best, not wall mounted and very limited options on it. I would have least like to have had access to the property with a channel devoted to dining choices, activities, map, etc.

The airconditionant of my room did not work and one of my personal item got stolen from my room. Very disappointed 😞. I do not recommend then at all

Some staff is very friendly, other were not. Beach is nice but be careful of the stones inside. If u get a room and don't like noise the whole day make sure they put u in a room not facing pool or lobby.big property so you will be doing alot of walking.

The water at the beach is amazing!

This was our second annual trip here, and we find the staff lovely, the food good, and the grounds pretty.

We had a wonderful 8 day vacay at this beautiful resort. Though we stayed on the adults only side ( by choice), we were still able to see and interact with families with children at some restaurants and shows. The property is very well maintained and the staff on all levels do their best to inquire about your needs to unsure your comfort and enjoyment. Our only snafu was when we went to the beach and though the ocean was beautiful and the beach serene, when I wandered into the ocean I tripped and fell over the large rocks that were abutting the sand. There was no sign warning of this. After that I stuck to the pools. All in all we had a blast and yes, I would go back again.

Mold smell in the room/ bathroom leaking water/ bed sheets had brown stain no iron in the room. Had to wait 3 hours for toilet paper

The food and most of the staff was good pools and grounds great, bathrooms and rooms very dirty and those bed poles blocking the TV view.

Entertainment staff went above n beyond. Kevin, Tiffany,Avel, and yoga instructor. Awesome job n very hospitable. Waiters n waitresses also amicable.
