Clean and spacious room. We were actually upgraded to a family room when we arrived. Our room had kitchen and laundry which was very helpful. Bathroom was spacious too- separate shower and bath tub - perfect to soak your tired body from days of walking tours or sight seeing. Only thing was that the bed (there were 3 beds) was a little soft for our back - queen size bed. Some likes it this way. But the single bed was actually comfortable. Proximity to transportation- this was perfect. Just 5 minute walk to subway station. Staff were accomodating and helpful.

Really enjoyed this stay. The hotel is nice, cozy, and has everything you need for a comfortable visit. Having a washer and dryer was a huge plus, especially for a longer trip.
There’s also a small balcony, which was a nice bonus, and the hotel is located on a quiet street while still being very close to public transportation and the river. The room had plenty of space compared to most city hotels, and the amenities were more than adequate.
Don’t expect a luxury resort, but for the price, it does a great job. Comfortable, convenient, and a place I’d happily stay at again.

普通のホテルと違ってキッチンがあって有料で食器類も借りられます。スーパーも近くにあるので長期滞在にとても良いと思いました。

Great find!! I'm astounded what you get for your money. Huge room, by japanese standards, great amenities, friendly, helpful staff with good English. I hugely recommend this place, especially if you are staying more than a few days in Kyoto. Also well located, within walking distance of Gion and many shops across the river. Plenty of places to eat within walking distance, cheap or otherwise. Best place we have stayed in Japan so far.

Great location and sizable rooms for the price. Walking distance to Nishiki market (15 mins), Gion (5 mins), and to Kiyamizu Dera (25 mins). A/C worked great in the summer. Staff was extremely nice and spoke English. Only downside is that the mattresses and pillows in the rooms are extremely firm - probably the firmest I've ever experienced in my travels. I had packed a travel pillow and ended up using that. Wifi was a bit spotty and on the slow side.
